In sharp contrast to retail World of Warcraft, World of Warcraft Classic focuses more on the journey to level cap. While there is certainly an abundance of endgame content for those who manage to fight their way to Level 60, the effort it took to get there is just as important. Quests will take you all over Kalimdor and the Eastern Kingdoms, and even with flight points there is still a lot of travel. Since some of the zones you go through later on are so big, getting a mount is an equally important part of the adventure to Level 60. But even getting a mount is not a simple task in World of Warcraft Classic, and here is how you can get one.

Tips For World Of Warcraft Classic You Should Know

World of Warcraft Classic is back, so here is everything you need to know before you start your adventure.

How to Get Mounts

Every race in World of Warcraft Classic has a unique mount that they can purchase. The first thing you will want to do is get to Level 40, as that is the earliest point at which you can get a mount. That said, getting to Level 40 is only one of the requirements for getting a mount. You will also need to learn the appropriate riding skill to ride that kind of mount. For example, if your character is an Orc, you will need to learn the Wolf Riding skill before you can use a wolf mount. The riding skill trainers and mount vendor locations for each faction and race are as follows.

Mount & Riding Skill Costs

Keep in mind that you can only purchase the riding skill of your race. If you want to learn other riding skills in your faction, you will need to be Exalted with them first. Regardless of race and faction, the riding skill costs 20 gold. On top of that, the Level 40 mounts cost 80 gold and the faster Level 60 epic mounts cost 1,000 gold. So, at Level 40, you will need 100 gold to get your first mount along with the skill to ride it. Unlike retail World of Warcraft, gold is significantly more difficult to get in World of Warcraft Classic and while it isn't too difficult to get 100 gold, getting 1,000 gold takes a lot of effort and time.

You can get a 10% discount for your race's riding skill and mount by being at Honored reputation with your race.
