World of Warcraft is a massive MMO that has spanned almost 20 years since its beginning in November of 2004. The game features some amazing storytelling and design elements that have kept it going strong. While many players play the retail version of WoW, there is also World of Warcraft Classic and a classic version of each expansion that the game has released up until now, showing how much of an industry giant the franchise is.
One of the worst things players can do in any game is accidentally get rid of an item. Whether players sell the item, disenchant it, drop it, or just destroy it entirely, losing an important item can really put a damper on an account. Thankfully, Blizzard has come up with a solution to help players obtain those valuable items that they have lost to various sources in the game. Here's a breakdown of how to restore items, and this is the same, no matter what version you're playing.

Sylvanas Windrunner is a character that players of WoW either love or hate—there is no in-between.
What Is Item Restoration In World Of Warcraft?
While playing the game, you will come across some items that are invaluable to your character. Whether that is a specific weapon that you're waiting until you're at a higher level to use, or maybe it is an amazing mount that you just finished grinding for (like some of the rarest mounts in the game), you will have plenty of items you want to keep. However, sometimes players make mistakes, and you may accidentally sell the item or delete it without realizing it, meaning you have absolutely no way of getting it back (some addons may help ensure you don't do this). Thankfully, the item restoration service can help with that, and you can see your beloved item in your mailbox soon enough.

How To Restore Items In WoW
Blizzard has made it much easier for players to obtain their items after accidentally losing them, and this system makes it so much easier to do it, meaning you should use it anytime you accidentally get rid of an item you love. After all, it is completely free, and the only limit is that you can only use it once per 7 days per character. So, you could use it on every character on your account once every 7 days. Here's a breakdown of how to use the system to restore your items:
- Go to Blizzard's Item Restoration Page (this link is for the US site)
- From there, select the option to begin the Item Restoration.
- This will bring up every server you have characters on, so select the server that the character holding the item was on.
- Then, select the character and the item you want to restore.
- You can then review the restoration and confirm it.
- After all this, the item(s) will be sent to your mailbox, and any materials obtained for disenchanting or selling will disappear.
If you have since deleted the character, you can undelete it by following the instructions on this page.
