WoW Legion Remix is finally here, and players are returning to the Broken Isles en masse to re-experience one of the best WoW expansions and level new characters in the rapid Remix environment. Though it's generally easier and faster to level in Remix than it is in normal WoW, there are still ways to push your XP gain to its absolute limits – especially with the new systems of Legion Remix.
World of Warcraft: All Skyriding Glyph Locations in K'aresh
With the release of Patch 11.2 in World of Warcraft, there are more Skyriding Glyphs for players to track down.
There are three things in particular that allow players to level up fast in Legion Remix: Infinite Research tasks, story campaigns, and Heroic World Tier.
- Infinite Research Tasks send players out to partake in Legion Remix content and r eward boatloads of XP and Bronze upon completion
- Completing zone Campaigns grants a whopping 10% XP boost to your account, while each chapter grants 1%
- Heroic World Tier has the potential to allow for rapid leveling, as long as you can survive and efficiently kill the empowered enemies within
This guide explains how to level up faster in Legion Remix using all three of these methods, including tips for manipulating Infinite Research offerings in your favor, which zones you should complete first, and why you might (or might not) want to turn on Heroic World Tier in WoW Legion Remix.
Take Full Advantage of Infinite Research Tasks in Legion Remix
In Legion Remix, Infinite Research tasks are one of the best ways to get an enormous chunk of XP quickly. These are essentially Legion Remix Dailies, and they are something you should prioritize as you level to 80.
Look for Eternus at the Infinite Bazaar – the gigantic Infinite Dragon sitting at the east side of the isle – and talk to her to see your current selection of quests. Eternus will offer four options at a time, but some Infinite Research tasks are much better for farming XP in Legion Remix than others.
For example, one Infinite Research task might ask you to kill Rare Elite enemies while in Heroic World Tier, but another simply requires players to fly into Demons throughout the Broken Isles to collect Bronze while Skyriding, which is much easier to complete. If you don't like any of the options, you can manipulate the tasks Eternus offers to some extent.
- Once per completed Infinite Research task, you can talk to Eternus and ask her for a new set of Infinite Research tasks. If you don't like your original options, or don't like whatever remains after choosing one, select this to refresh your Infinite Research tasks and fish for something easier.
- You can also ask Eternus to lean towards certain types of tasks over others or ask her to raise the challenge level (which requires you to enter Heroic World Tier). Choose "Open World" tasks over the other options within this sub-menu to raise the chances that Eternus will offer a simple Kill Enemies or Collect Bronze Motes quest.
As you raise your XP Gain for your account, the amount of XP these quests grant is also increased. At higher levels, a single Infinite Research quest can well exceed your XP bar – especially after reaching level 70, when you can get a free 250% boost to enemy and quest XP.
Players are capped to a certain number of Infinite Research tasks each day, as indicated by the boxes to the left of Eternus. Every day, two more tasks will become available. At first, you can only pick up 6 Infinite Research quests at once, but after leveling up a bit, you will expand that to 12 and then the max of 18.
Complete any Zone Campaign to Get a 10% Account XP Boost
In addition to Infinite Research tasks, completing zone campaign stories is another great way to get more XP gain and level up faster in Legion Remix. Every time you complete a zone chapter, you will get an Epoch Memento that increases your account XP gain by 1%.
But every time you complete an entire zone story and get the zone campaign achievement, you will get a stronger version of this consumable called the Perfected Epoch Memento, which grants a whopping 10% increase to XP Gain across all characters.
Though it can take some time to complete an entire zone story, if you focus exclusively on main quests (with a dark brown badge behind the exclamation point) and use all of your Legion Remix abilities and boosts, you can beat each zone in under 2 hours. Plus, you will earn Bronze, XP boosts, and get new gear from Caches of Infinite Treasure as you complete quests along the way.
The best zone campaign to complete first in Legion Remix is either Stormheim or Valsharah for their engaging quests and unique lore moments, though with Skyriding enabled, Highmountain is an efficient choice, too. Azsuna is fast enough, but some consider its story to be the dullest of the four starting zones in the Broken Isles.
If You Are Tanking, Turn On Heroic World Tier Until Level 70
Heroic World Tier is a new system in WoW Legion Remix that increases the difficulty of open-world content (including quests, enemies, and world quests). Players engaging in this more challenging version of the leveling experience will be rewarded with significantly boosted XP and Bronze gains from non-quest sources (like killing enemies, rares, and elites).
Plus, by having Heroic World Tier enabled, you'll be able to access harder Infinite Research tasks that give even more XP than normal.
We're not talking a small XP bonus, we're talking nearly three times the XP – an enemy that rewards 400 XP in normal difficulty can yield more than 1200 XP on Heroic World Tier, depending on your XP Gain bonus. Rares and Elites reward Quest-like amounts of XP.
DPS classes and Healers can have a hard time in this game mode unless they use everything in their kit and plan their movements and positions carefully so as not to take on too much at once. Tanks, on the other hand, will find Heroic World Tier about as easy as the normal difficulty thanks to their slew of defensives, self-buffs, self-heals, and other survivability abilities.
If you play carefully and use everything you've got, DPS and Healers can grind enemies in Heroic World Tier for extra XP and Bronze, too – but Tanks just have an easier job of it. Once you reach Level 70 the difficulty of Heroic World Tier ramps up significantly, at which point you can consider turning it off to grind out the last 10 levels with normal Infinite Research or other leveling methods in Legion Remix.
