World of Warcraft fans can get the Fathom Dweller secret mount in Legion Remix much easier than normal, but they still have to complete the orb-collecting unlock task for Drak'thul in order for it to appear at the vendor. While players no longer have to hope for the hidden Kosumoth the Hungering World Quest to award the mount, they still need to complete this secret World of Warcraft quest to get the mount.

Legion Remix is a limited-time event in which players can power through the popular expansion with overpowered stats and abilities. Beyond many new cosmetics, several previously hard-to-get WoW rewards can be obtained in Legion Remix simply by spending Bronze, such as the Spirit of Echer’o or the Wondrous Wisdomball.

How to Purchase the Fathom Dweller in WoW: Legion Remix

However, fans noticed one of the rewards that was supposed to be at the vendors for WoW: Legion Remix wasn’t there right away: the Fathom Dweller. This rare mount requires players to complete a secret on the Broken Shore where they find an orc outcast named Drak’thul. By returning a Weathered Relic to him, and then finding 10 hidden orbs around Legion zones in a specific order, fans will complete a secret unlock for the Fathom Dweller to appear in the inventory of Hemet Nestingwary XVII for 20,000 Bronze. If a player has done this unlock on another character in the past, the mount should be available for purchase right away.

This secret method is normally used to unlock DANGER: Kosumoth the Hungering, a hidden rare elite world quest in the Eye of Azshara dungeon that has a small chance of awarding the Fathom Dweller in when it uncommonly appears. That said, the quest more often than not grants the Hungering Claw battle pet in World of Warcraft instead, making Legion Remix the only time gamers can pick up this rare mount without relying on RNG.

The Hungering Claw also appears in Horos the pet vendor's inventory after completing the Drak'thul orb secret, where it can be obtained without completing the world quest for 10,000 Bronze.

At press time, Legion Remix is partway through its second phase, with the third arriving on November 18. The final phase, Infinite Echoes, drops on December 9, shortly after World of Warcraft Patch 11.2.7. This phase teased some exciting catch-up mechanics and original content, plus the addition of the Housing decor item vendor, so fans could see more secrets reveal themselves during the last hurrah of Legion Remix.
