World of Warcraft has officially begun its third Turbulent Timeways event, which will blitz through different Timewalking expansions each week from now until August 5. Beginning and ending with the new Battle for Azeroth Timewalking, this seven-week throwback event is live in World of Warcraft right now.
Patch 11.1.7 is officially live in World of Warcraft, bringing with it tons of new content. The Rise of the Red Dawn campaign chapter, Lorewalking, and Overcharged Delves are just some of the features that arrived in the Legacy of Arathor update, with the Greedy Emissary Diablo event beginning on July 1.
World of Warcraft: Overcharged Delves, Explained
By doing Overcharged Delves in World of Warcraft, you can obtain a powerful 691 belt.
However, this update also marked the start of the third Turbulent Timeways event. For the next seven weeks, World of Warcraft will be running back-to-back Timewalking events, starting with Battle for Azeroth, then moving through Mists of Pandaria, The Burning Crusade, Warlords of Draenor, Legion, Classic, and then back to BFA. Fans who complete dungeons during this time earn a stacking Knowledge of the Timeways buff that increases experience gains by 5% – and obtaining four stacks transforms it into Mastery of the Timeways, increasing the buff to 30%. Obtaining or refreshing this buff for five out of the seven weeks rewards players with the Master of the Turbulent Timeways III achievement, as well as the Chrono Corsair mount.
WoW Patch 11.1.7 Turbulent Timeways Schedule
- June 17-23: Battle for Azeroth
- June 24-30: Mists of Pandaria
- July 1-7: The Burning Crusade
- July 8-14: Warlords of Draenor
- July 15-21: Legion
- July 22-28: Classic
- July 29-August 4: Battle for Azeroth
Battle for Azeroth Timewalking is new to this event and will be added to its regular rotation after the Turbulent Timeways ends. Vendors in Boralus and Dazar’alor offer brand-new World of Warcraft rewards in exchange for Timewarped Badges, including the Moonlit Nightsaber and Ivory Sagemane mounts, Sea-Blessed Shrine and Lightning-Blessed Spire transformation toys, and Kul Tiran trench coats. Other rewards, such as Sylvanas Windrunner’s bow, have been datamined as potential Timewalking rewards, so fans should be sure to check the vendors for other expansions to see if there are any new items to purchase in later weeks.

Players who missed out on previous Turbulent Timeways achievement rewards in World of Warcraft, like the Sandy Shalewing or Timely Buzzbee, can purchase them for 5000 Timewarped Badges from any Timewalking vendor during the event. The Chrono Corsair will likely be obtainable in the same way during future Turbulent Timeways events for those who don’t get it this time.
Fans should be aware that Timewalking dungeons have received a difficulty increase in WoW Patch 11.1.7. Enemy health and damage scaling against players of different levels and gear scores have been adjusted to provide more of a challenge, though completing them now rewards 25 Timewarped Badges to compensate. These adjustments shouldn’t make these dungeons too difficult, but fans should still be aware of them before they try to pull an entire instance at once.
