Undercoin is the currency introduced with the Delve system in WoW: The War Within. Obtained from Bountiful Delves and certain quests completed in these instances, players can use this currency to buy all sorts of rewards, including transmogs, gear, toys, mount customizations, and even crafting mats and Resonance Crystals. Though most of the rewards purchased using Undercoin are shared across characters in an account, the currency itself was not transferable.

Undercoin had been marked as Warband Transferable in the past on the Public Test Realm, but the change never made it to the live servers. Now, Undercoin has finally been opened up to be transferable across characters – though it is currently unknown if this change will be permanent, or if it is just for the remainder of Season 2.

When World of Warcraft transitions from one season to another, Undercoin is one of the currencies that resets back to zero. Assuming it follows this precedent, players should be sure to spend all of their Undercoin before Season 3, as it will likely be cleared again. World of Warcraft just revealed Patch 11.2, which drops about a week before the new season. While there are no definitive dates right now, the update will likely arrive in mid-August, with Season 3 starting shortly after.

Fans should have little problem getting more Undercoin before the end of Season 3, however. World of Warcraft Patch 11.1.7 also introduced Overcharged Delves, challenge mode affixes for Bountiful Delves that provide significantly more rewards than usual. Fans who clear these instances earn significantly more Undercoin, all while working towards unlocking achievements that grant new cosmetics like the Redeployment Module Hearthstone toy and the OC91 Chariot mount.
