World of Warcraft fans can get a new Housing decor item called the Tome of Silvermoon Intrigue for completing the Elves of Quel’Thalas Lorewalking questline in Patch 11.2.7. While previous Lorewalking stories in World of Warcraft rewarded toys, the newest one offers the chance at obtaining a decoration for their in-game house.

Lorewalking is a feature World of Warcraft added in Patch 11.1.7, in which gamers can play through curated storytelling and questing experiences, providing a way to see both familiar and brand-new lore while leveling up. Three Lorewalking stories arrived with the World of Warcraft system – Xal’atath, Ethereals, and The Lich King – with a fourth, The Elves of Quel’Thalas, coming in Patch 11.2.7, The Warning.

World of Warcraft Patch 11.2.7 Lorewalking Quest and Reward

Like its predecessors, fans will earn a special item for completing The Elves of Quel’Thalas Lorewalking story, though the reward differs in a major way. Unlike the toys rewarded for completing the other stories, players will get the Tome of Silvermoon Intrigue Housing decor item after finishing this new questline. A charming red and gold tome, this item will be perfect for Blood Elves, Mages, or other book enthusiasts while decorating their home. Fans who need additional copies can ostensibly purchase more from Lali the Assistant in the Vale of Eternal Blossoms for 2000 gold each after the first one is unlocked.

The rewards from the previous Lorewalking questlines in World of Warcraft are excellent in their own right. Xal’atath’s story awards the Echo of Xal’atath, Blade of the Black Empire, which lets any class hear Xal’atath’s whispers from Legion, even without having the Shadow Priest artifact transmogged. Meanwhile, the Ethereals and Lich King stories gave the K’aresh Memory Crystal and Royal Visage, which transform the character into an Ethereal or Arthas, respectively. However, it seems this new reward is capitalizing on the Housing system in a way that celebrates the culture explored in the story.

This new Lorewalking story didn’t come out of nowhere. Back when the feature was first implemented, dialogue from Lorewalker Cho pertaining to this World of Warcraft questline was discovered, suggesting it was in development and would be released in the near future.

That said, its arrival in Patch 11.2.7 is quite timely. Not only is Player Housing early access coming in this WoW update, but it appears in the last patch before the Elf-centric Midnight expansion. Once the update arrives, World of Warcraft fans who need to brush up on the lore of Quel’Thalas can do so while also obtaining one of their very first decor items in the process.
