World of Warcraft has finally fixed the Warband Bank a week after it was supposed to be added in the War Within Pre-Expansion Update. After resolving a critical issue with the new feature, World of Warcraft players can now use the Warband Bank to easily transfer and store items across all of their characters.
Warbands is the name given to a collection of new alt-friendly features that arrived in the World of Warcraft: The War Within Pre-Patch. This umbrella covers quality-of-life improvements like account-wide reputations and achievement progress, improvements to the transmog collection process, and the Warband Bank – a shared storage area accessible by any character on an account. Unfortunately, a critical issue prevented the Warband Bank from working correctly as of the Pre-Patch on July 23, causing World of Warcraft to disable the feature for some time.
World of Warcraft Explains How Character Services Work With Warbands Character Select Screen
The new character selection screen in World of Warcraft: The War Within changes how Level boosts, Race Changes, and other paid services work.
A week later, it seems like World of Warcraft has finally sorted out the problems with the Warband Bank. As of the weekly maintenance and reset on July 30, the Warband Bank has been reinstated, giving players access to the shared storage areas for use between their characters. Ideally, all the issues have been permanently resolved with the Warband Bank so fans won’t have to worry about losing access to the items they stash in it.
World of Warcraft Warband Bank Features
- Shared storage between every World of Warcraft character on an account.
- Five 98-slot tabs that can be purchased at an increasing gold cost.
- Remote access to the Warband Bank via the Warband Bank Distance Inhibitor spell, which summons a portal for 10 minutes on a two-hour cooldown.
Players can access the Warband Bank from any banker NPC in the world by navigating to the new tab found in the interface window. Alternatively, fans can use the Warband Bank Distance Inhibitor spell to conjure an access portal for 10 minutes every two hours. This World of Warcraft ability isn’t unlocked automatically, however; players will need to complete a short questline in Gadgetzan in order to learn it.
Each of the five 98-slot tabs of the Warband Bank in World of Warcraft must be purchased individually, with each one costing more than the last. The first tab only costs 1000 gold, but buying all five will run players more than 3,000,000 gold in total. Luckily, this one-time purchase unlocks the tabs for their entire account.
