World of Warcraft Reveals The War Within Raid Schedule

World of Warcraft reveals the release schedule for Nerub-ar Palace, which includes a few changes to the way Blizzard has unlocked raids in the past.

During The War Within beta, fans discovered a quest that let them unlock a yellow, blue, and red variant of the Squally pet if they had the Epic Edition of the World of Warcraft expansion. Now, Blizzard has revealed another quest that awards matching versions of the Stormrider’s Attire for those who bought it or the Heroic Edition. Like the original, these transmogs can be upgraded into a second, glowing version, meaning players actually get a grand total of eight different outfits as a part of The War Within Heroic or Epic Editions.

How to Get the New WoW Stormrider’s Attire Colors

  • Purchase The War Within Heroic or Epic Edition, or upgrade the Standard edition.
  • Accept The Stormrider’s Bond quest from Kurdran Wildhammer in Valdrakken, which unlocks the following transmogs:
    • Champion Stormrider’s Attire, Deep Stormrider’s Attire, and Shining Stormrider’s Attire
  • Complete A Sacred Connection quest from Kurdran afterward to obtain the upgraded versions:
    • Sparking Stormrider's Attire
    • Frenzied Stormrider's Attire
    • Shocking Stormrider's Attire
  • After The War Within’s launch, these quests will be relocated to Stormrider Bruelda in Dornogal.

While the original outfit is unlocked automatically, and upgraded through a series of special Skyriding races, these color variants and their upgraded versions are unlocked via a questline from Kurdran Wildhammer in Valdrakken. Fans can find these quests in World of Warcraft when The War Within Pre-Patch begins after the weekly maintenance and resets starting July 23. Players who bought the Epic Edition can also find the quest to unlock the color variants of Squally from the same NPC.

The Pre-Patch for The War Within has tons of exciting updates for players, including the alt-friendly Warbands system, the Skyriding overhaul, and tons of quality-of-life improvements. Fans will need to have patience when they first log in, however, as converting a World of Warcraft account into the Warbands system can take upwards of 20 minutes.
