World of Warcraft: Mists of Pandaria is the latest World of Warcraft expansion to change the face of Azeroth. A new continent also means new factions, new vendors, and their unique currencies. One of the most important items exchanged for goods and services in Pandaria is Motes of Harmony, and players can pick them up in various places.
WoW Mists Of Pandaria Classic: How to Level to 90 Fast
For those jumping into World of Warcraft's Mists of Pandaria Classic, make sure to use these tips to hit max level quickly.
Bosses drop them, fishing nodes contain them, and they appear in various chests and caches that are either found in the open world or given to the character as a reward. Since they are the main currency, every player will need them to purchase materials, resources, rewards, and even other currencies. Given how valuable and useful they are, it's handy to know a few farming techniques to help acquire them.
10 Motes of Harmony can be converted into 1 Spirit of Harmony, which is used as both a currency and a crafting material. Virtually every profession needs Motes of Harmony, so it's an item you should always try to keep.
3 The Spirit of Harmony Vendor
Found In Each Faction's Headquarters
- Located on the central upper deck of the balcony by the flight path for both Shrines.
Once their Motes are converted into Spirits of Harmony, both Horde and Alliance players can exchange them with the Spirit of Harmony vendor. There are different vendors for each faction.
- Krystel. This is the Alliance trader. She's a female Pandaren that players can find at the Shrine of Seven Stars.
- Danky. The Horde vendor is a male Pandaren at the Shrine of Two Moons.
Players can trade Spirits of Harmony for Ironpaw Tokens and Golden Lotuses with these vendors, along with important crafting materials.

2 Farming For Motes
The Most Productive Routes
The best way to farm Motes of Harmony is by killing level 90 enemies. The higher the level of the target, the more likely that it will drop a mote.
- Kun Li Summit. The cave north of One Keg village is filled with Mischievous Snow Sprites, which are easy to slay in great numbers and often drop motes. They also respawn fast for better farming.
- The Fatty Goatsteak Circle. One of the recurring quests in Halfhill Village is "Fatty Goatsteak," which involves killing both high-level goats and Hozen. Several quests from Halfhill can be finished here, and it's highly recommended that players take all of them.
- The Dread Wastes. Almost everything in this zone is level 90, so follow the Klaxxi dailies and grind some rep while farming motes. The lowlands where the hostile bugs seem to roam the most also yield the most motes.
- Dungeon Runs. The higher level, the better, so the Mogu'shan Palace is the best choice of the three. Use the dungeon finder to wait in a specific queue or grab some friends and do repeat runs.
WoW Mists Of Pandaria: 7 Most Important Locations To Visit As Soon As Possible
From small-town trainers to new dungeons, there are several locations in World of Warcraft: Mists of Pandaria that players should make a beeline for.
1 Literal Farming
The Sunsong Ranch Method
- Finish the initial quests and help build rep for earnest citypaw, Farmer Yoon.
Working the plots at the Sunsong Ranch requires that the player be level 90 and have already finished Farmer Yoon's initial quests. The Tillers are one of the most influential factions in Pandaria, although their quests and rewards aren't generally combat-related, other than the plentiful and useful food buffs from the Master Cooking trainers.
Maybe someone on the dev team thought it would be funny to take the term "farming" in a literal sense, but there's an option for that in Pandaria once the player has access to the Sunsong Ranch in Halfhill. No other method is more reliable and productive than this one when it comes to collecting Motes of Harmony.
Players can start by taking the quest from Farmer Yoon called "A Helping Hand" to clear some boulders from the fields. An encounter with his bad-tempered neighbors, the Mudclaws, indicates that Yoon is also a rep to build in addition to making a name for himself as a farmer.
Yoon's daily quests involve learning to farm and making nice with the locals, and every completion awards some Tiller rep. Once the character reaches Revered status, they can buy Songbell Seeds from Merchant Greenfield. At full capacity, it's possible to grow 16 plants at once, which means a sure harvest of 16 Motes of Harmony a day.
