WoW: The War Within

Factions that players can earn reputation with have been a part of World of Warcraft since the very beginning. From the early days of needing to be Exalted to get attuned to Naxxramas for free to the renown system introduced in Shadowlands, earning reputation has been an important part of progressing your character and unlocking a wide variety of rewards, regardless of whether you are a hardcore or casual player.

Renown returns once again in The War Within, and those who played Dragonflight will already know what to expect. Once you've arrived on the Isle of Dorn, it isn't long before you encounter the first faction in Khaz Algar known as the Council of Dornogal.

Just like in Dragonflight, there are 25 ranks in total. Every rank provides a series of rewards and also unlocks more rewards that you can purchase from the Quartermaster.

Renown Quartermaster Stock

Auditor Balwurz, the quartermaster for Council of Dornogal, is located in the Foundation Hall in Dornogal. His stock consists of recipes for Professions and item level 584 epics for all classes that will be useful for fresh Level 80 characters early on during this expansion. Most of his inventory is purchased with Resonance Crystals, which can be acquired through completing world quests, looting treasure caches, and killing rare enemies. His stock is as follows.

How to Improve Renown With Council of Dornogal

While you do get reputation from completing certain campaign quests, the majority of the grind for renown takes place after you have reached Level 80. First, you will want to make sure that you have completed the campaign and reached Level 80. Doing so unlocks world quests for Kaz Algar and a weekly dungeon quest in Dornogal.

Killing rare enemies can grant you reputation as well, so keep an eye out for them.

Certain world quests will provide small (but steady) increases to your reputation with the Council of Dornogal while the daily dungeon quest will allow you to get 1,500 reputation with a faction of your choosing. The best way to reliably improve your Renown with Council fo Dornogal is to do the weekly dungeon quest every day while also doing any active world quests that reward reputation.
