The new Delve system introduced in World of Warcraft: The War Within gives endgame players something that isn't group-based to do after reaching Max Level, and there are a lot of incentives for doing so. Unfortunately, some Delves are significantly harder than others, and not just because the game's multitude of classes and specs appear to be balanced differently.
WoW: All The War Within Season One Dungeons
There are eight dungeons in the WoW TWW Season One dungeon list, including four new and four returning instances.
Some of the easiest Delves in WoW: TWW can take fewer than ten minutes to complete a run, even at Tier 8, and that's thanks mostly to in-Delve mechanics that make things much simpler. Some Delves are pretty straightforward and can be completed quickly, but not quite as fast as the top three best Delves TWW players can take on. A handful of Delves can be downright annoying, though, and are worth avoiding unless they happen to be Bountiful.
Easiest Delves in WoW: The War Within
Few Difficult Mechanics To Memorize
Three of the twelve Delves available in Season One of The War Within are significantly easier than the others and can easily be completed in under ten minutes, making them prime targets for using Delver's Bounty maps to quickly get Hidden Troves. These easiest TWW Delves include:
- Mycomancer Cavern, in Hallowfall
- Fungal Folly, in The Isle of Dorn
- Spiral Weave, in Azj-Kahet
The Fungal-themed Delves (Mycomancer Cavern and Fungal Folly) are filled with respawning Sporebits that explode after a few seconds for a ton of damage if you get too close. The trick is to group up a ton of enemies, pop your defensives, then gather them around a Sporebit that's about to explode to clear areas quickly. Most low-to-mid HP enemies will die after being hit by one or two Sporebit explosions, and they deal damage to bosses, too.
The Spiral Weave is one of the best Delves in The War Within because of its final boss encounter. The rest of the Delve is easy enough to complete as you clear enemies and make your way to the end of the area. But the fight against the Puppetmaster is essentially four waves of enemies instead of a single hard-hitting boss.
Fastest WoW TWW Delves
Not Necessarily Easy, But Fast – Or Exploitable
These next five of the best Delves in WoW: The War Within are not as easy to exploit as Mycomancer Cavern or Fungal Folly, and feature normal boss encounters with mechanics you will have to follow unlike the Spiral Weave Delve. Of the twelve Delves in TWW, these five can be completed relatively fast:
- The Underkeep, in Azj-Kahet
- The Sinkhole, in Hallowfall
- The Dread Pit, in The Ringing Deeps
- Nightfall Sanctum, in Hallowfall
- Tak-Rethan Abyss, in Azj-Kahet
Of these, Tak-Rethan Abyss is arguably the fastest, but only if you are able to Stealth past enemies you don't need to fight and bring some Water Breathing potions, though it can still be annoying to go out of your way for Sturdy Chests. Water Breathing potions also help in The Sinkhole.
WoW: The War Within – How To Increase Profession Knowledge Fast
In WoW TWW, Profession Knowledge is essential to guarantee high-level crafts and to find rarer (or more) materials.
Delves To Avoid Unless Bountiful
Lengthy Delves With Difficult Or Annoying Mechanics
Though none of the Delves are impossible to complete, some feature much trickier (or downright annoying) mechanics, tougher bosses, or are particularly lengthy. These four are not counted among the easiest Delves WoW: TWW players can take on, but they are still worth doing if they are Bountiful on a particular day:
- Earthcrawl Mines, in The Isle of Dorn
- The Skittering Breach, in Hallowfall
- Kriegval's Rest, in The Isle of Dorn
- The Waterworks, in The Ringing Deeps
The Waterworks and Kriegval's Rest both feature a mechanic which makes players carry around a constantly-diminishing candle or Air Totem around, taking damage if they get too far away from its area. The Skittering Breach has arguably the hardest final boss of any Delve, while Earthcrawl Mines' final boss features a lot of abilities that must be interrupted, so if you don't play a class with a lot of Kicks, it's significantly harder.
