WoW: The War Within - Complete Guide To Delves
Delves are a unique new feature that is part of World of Warcraft: The War Within, and they offer a more casual endgame experience.
But in The War Within, this classic flight style is not available from the start of the expansion. The method to unlock old-school Flight in Khaz Algar is not necessarily difficult, but it does require players to complete (and explore) each of the new zones introduced in The War Within.
Khaz Algar Steady Flight Unlock Method
To unlock Steady Flight mode while in Khaz Algar, you must get the Khaz Algar Pathfinder achievement.
To unlock Khaz Algar Pathfinder, you must do two things (well, really eight things if we break it down): complete each of the four level-up campaign zone quests in the Isle of Dorn, the Ringing Deeps, Hallowfall, and Azj-Kahet, and explore each of these four zones for the Khaz Algar Explorer achievement.
Because every level-up campaign in the four zones is available on launch, you can get the Khaz Algar Pathfinder achievement before reaching Level 80. It doesn't require players to go particularly out of their way, either, as you don't have to explore every single sub-location in each zone to get its associated Explorer achievement. You just need to reveal the map and visit the major areas within each zone.

Players can progress quickly through World of Warcraft: War Within by following a few simple tips and strategies.
And you will naturally complete the main campaign as you play through The War Within, even if you get sidetracked by Local Quests. Just be sure to follow the slightly darker-orange exclamation marks in each zone to complete each main story. If you reveal zones as you go, you will unlock Steady Flight in The War Within upon turning in the final quest for Azj-Kahet.
You can complete different parts of the Khaz Algar Pathfinder achievement on different characters, thanks to the new Warband system TWW introduces. Explore and complete quests in one zone, swap to your alt, and complete the next to take advantage of this new account-wide progression feature.
In previous expansions, this achievement was usually tied to unlocking Flight in the first place, and you'd be locked to the ground in each zone until the expansion's Pathfinder achievement was unlocked. But with Skyriding, you can fly in The War Within practically from the very start – you just won't be able to use the old version of Flight until you get the Khaz Algar Pathfinder achievement.
How To Swap Flight Styles
Once you have unlocked the Khaz Algar Pathfinder achievement, you can enable Steady Flight the same way you would in other World of Warcraft zones. In your Spellbook, look for the ability "Switch Flight Style." Drag this to one of your action bars to use it (or select it from the spellbook).
The ability can only be used while grounded and standing still and takes a few seconds to cast. To swap back to the new Skyriding flight method, do the same thing again. Simply mount up on your Flying mount of choice to see which one you currently have active – if you have Skyriding active, the Skyriding UI will appear, while Steady Flight leaves your UI and action bars alone.
