When exploring the vast and interconnected world of Wuchang: Fallen Feathers, players can discover plenty of optional activities and secrets, including various puzzles like Benediction Gates with two possible solutions. Like many soulslikes, Wuchang doesn't explain all its rules, so at times, players may find themselves slightly confused when encountering prompts that offer only vague hints about what to do.
How Hard Is Wuchang Fallen Feathers?
Players who have questions about the difficulty of Wuchang: Fallen Feathers, and their ability to adjust it, can find answers in this guide.
One such recurring puzzle type appears near glowing blue spots, one of which instructs players to “Master Tai Chi to Grasp the Primordial Deity's Wisdom.” Here's everything players need to do to earn a reward.
These types of puzzles are typically solved by using a specific pose.
Tai Chi Shrine Puzzle Location in Wuchang: Fallen Feathers
The Tai Chi puzzle in Wuchang is quite difficult to miss, as it's located in a small cave passage that players must navigate to reach the Cloudspire region after finishing all their business at Worship's Rise. The destination can be reached from the Reverent Temple Shrine by taking the stairs and unlocking the gate on the left using the Reverent Temple Key, obtained by defeating Commander Honglan, and then proceeding through a narrow cave passage filled with bridges and ladders. It's easy to spot the puzzle's location from afar, as its blue glow is visible from many angles, and the area itself is perched on the edge of a cliff overlooking a beautiful vista.
If players somehow miss the spot the first time through the passage, it can also be reached by backtracking from the Hillswatch Shrine in Cloudspire and taking the elevator down. Regardless of how the location is approached, be cautious as a nasty enemy is ready to ambush the players right near the glowing spot.
How to Master Tai Chi in Wuchang: Fallen Feathers
By this point in Wuchang: Fallen Feathers, some players may already recognize the pattern for various pose puzzles near glowing blue shrines, especially if they didn't miss the first two similar puzzles — paying respects before the God of Shu's statue and looking to the horizon to reunite with Faces of the Past in Worship's Rise. Once again, the trick is to perform an appropriate pose from the emote menu, which can be accessed by pressing:
- Left side of the touchpad on PS5
- View button on Xbox Series X/S
- Y key on PC
However, there's a small difference with the Tai Chi puzzle in Wuchang. Unlike the first two places, the required pose isn't shown in the emote menu by default. Players must manually switch one of the available poses to the Tai Chi pose by pressing the “Replace” input, assigning it, and then performing it in front of the glowing bowl. One way to confirm that everything was done correctly is an audio cue and text response shortly after, along with a message indicating an item has been received.
Reward for Mastering Tai Chi to Grasp the Primordial Deity's Wisdom
After selecting and using the Tai Chi pose near the blue bowl in the cave, players will receive one Red Mercury Essence as a reward. This item isn't displayed anywhere in the inventory but is used for leveling up skills and attributes. Players can later use Red Mercury Essence at any shrine via the Impetus Repository skill tree to unlock an additional node in character or weapon mastery progression.
