As players venture deeper into the world of Wuchang Fallen Feathers, they'll encounter various NPCs along the way who'll ask for help. One of these NPCs is Nian Suichang, who you'll meet before entering the Shu Sanctum area. He'll request Wuchang to find the elixir for his sick brother, who you may have met in the Revenant Temple. So, the goal is to reach the Shu Sanctum and get the elixirs for Nian, but it won't be easy.
Wuchang: Fallen Feathers Review
At first glance, Wuchang: Fallen Feathers feels familiar, but its deeper systems take the genre in some unexpected and highly rewarding directions.
Where to Find the Elixirs for Nian Suichang in Wuchang Fallen Feathers
As players exit the Lightzen Temple, they'll travel through the narrow path, across the streams, and reach the Narrow Stretch. Just before you enter the town area, you'll find Nian Suichang leaning over a tree to the right. Once you talk to him, he'll ask you to head to the Shu Sanctum to find Elixirs for his sick brother back at the Revenant Temple.
Nian will also grant a Bone Whistle to players, which they can use to summon him during a key boss encounter in Wuchang Fallen Feathers. After finishing the conversation with him, head up the stairs right in front of you and take a left. After following the path, you'll encounter an empowered Ming soldier who'll attack Wuchang on sight. Defeating the empowered enemy will reward players with the Ming Armor set.
After that, just keep heading up the stairs behind the boss and you'll reach the Shu Sanctum. Here, you can activate the Shrine and talk to Nian Suichang once again. Once you're done, keep heading up the stairs until you reach the third floor of the temple and open the doors to the right to enter the boss arena for Feathered Priest - Lu Bingzhang.
Beat the Feathered Priest - Lu Bingzhang Boss
This boss encounter is a bit tricky, but you can easily defeat him if you can manage to dodge all his attacks. Apart from Lu Bingzhang's regular moves, it has two aerial attacks: throwing a glowing red spear at the player and plunging its staff into the ground to deal AOE corruption damage.
Make sure to use the Bone Whistle to summon Nian Suichang into the battle as he'll be able to distract the boss. Once Lu Bingzhang's back is turned towards you, charge your heavy attack (R2/RT) and attack it. It'll quickly go into a staggered state if you pull it off correctly. Proceed to land an Obliterate attack on the boss to take away a good portion of its health.
Rinse and repeat this method until the boss is defeated, and you receive the Mercurial Blood item. Head downstairs and give the item to Nian Suichang, and he'll thank Wuchang for getting it for him. This will complete the Nian Suichang quest in Shu Sanctum, and you can fast travel to Revenant Temple to meet Nian Suichang again and check up on his brother on the second floor in Wuchang Fallen Feathers.
