The open-world RPG from developer Kuro Games has seen significant success following its launch earlier this year, offering flashy and exciting combat with plenty of characters to choose from. Wuthering Waves quickly topped charts across multiple regions, serving as the most-downloaded game in over 100 regions following its launch. Now, the game's next update will add a brand-new five-star character to the roster.

Since the game's debut in May, Kuro Games has consistently pushed new updates to keep fans engaged with Wuthering Waves. The 1.1 update to the game launched in late June and brought two of the initial version's most highly-anticipated characters to the playable roster, with Jinhsi and Changli. With Version 1.2 on the way, slated to premiere in just over a week, Kuro Games confirmed the next update will similarly add another pair of five-star units with the release of Zhezhi and Xiangli Yao. The post does not share any details about The Shorekeeper's gameplay within Wuthering Waves, lacking confirmation of her element or weapon. The Shorekeeper will likely debut in the first half of Wuthering Waves' Version 1.3, currently expected to launch on September 26.

Wuthering Waves Reveals The Shorekeeper for Update 1.3

The addition of The Shorekeeper to Wuthering Waves will mark the third playable member of the game's Black Shores organization and its most notable. The Shorekeeper is said to be the leader of the mysterious organization, referenced in-game by Version 1.0 character Aalto. Standard five-star character Encore also serves as a member of the Black Shores, with both Encore and Aalto said to be "consultants" for the organization. The Shorekeeper has yet to make an official in-game appearance in Wuthering Waves.

While Kuro Games is already getting fans excited about the 1.3 update, Wuthering Waves looks to have plenty in store before then. Kuro Games previously confirmed it intends to implement a storage system for Waveplates, easing the need for players to consistently use the in-game energy.
