A new Wuthering Waves leak has revealed new details about Xiangli Yao and Zhezhi, two characters that will be added to the game soon. Wuthering Waves is an open-world RPG approaching its two-month anniversary. As with other gacha games, the Wuthering Waves community frequently shares information about features, content, and characters that are not yet available in Kuro Games' title.
With a story set on the planet Solaris 3, a world destroyed by the event known as the Lament, players wake up as Rover, the Wuthering Waves protagonist, who embarks on a journey to recover their lost memories and discover the truth. As Rover learns more about their past, the character forms deeper connections with the Resonators, characters that can resonate with certain objects and manipulate their frequencies. Currently, in version 1.1, Wuthering Waves has introduced players to new characters. Now, a leak brings new details about two future additions to the Wuthering Waves cast.
Wuthering Waves: Changli's Release Date & Full Kit
Changli is the second banner in Wuthering Waves 1.1, right after Jinhsi, the Magistrate of Jinzhou.
Twitter user hxg_diluc revealed new information about Xiangli Yao and Zhezhi, characters expected for the Wuthering Waves banner in version 1.2. According to the leaker, Xiangli Yao is a Wuthering Waves DPS character of the Electro element who uses a gauntlet and will be given to players for free. Wuthering Waves' drip marketing recently announced Xiangli Yao, revealing that he is Huaxu Academy's Principal Investigator. Although young, Xiangli Yao shows expertise in various research fields, specifically dedicating himself to Automata Mechanics research.
Wuthering Waves Leak Brings New Information on Xiangli Yao and Zhezhi
Another character included in hxg_diluc's leak, Zhezhi is speculated to be a Glacio support, one of the six Wuthering Waves elements. While the leaker didn't reveal any other information, they hint that Zhezhi has good synergy with Jinhshi, a five-star character who deals burst damage and whose kit allows her to change forms to improve her abilities. Zhezhi's drip marketing, which announced the character along with Xiangli Yao, reveals that Zhezhi is a commissioned painter who is shy and quiet, but dedicated to her craft.
The debuts of Xiangli Yao and Zhezhi are expected on the banner of Wuthering Waves version 1.2. Although no release date has been confirmed, speculation is that the banner will start around August 15. Until the characters arrive, Wuthering Waves players can recruit Jinhshi during the Thawborn Renewal banner, which will end on July 22. In its place will enter the Vermillion's Ploy banner, featuring the 5-star character Changli, with the 4-star Baizhi, Mortefi, and Taoqi having improved pull rates.
