Wuthering Waves 1.3 Banners Explained

Wuthering Waves version 1.3 is now live, after weeks of anticipation. While the update was only officially announced at the end of September, leaks and rumors had already been stirring excitement around the new characters and region, the Black Shores, for a while. In particular, the new five-star character, Shorekeeper, has been garnering attention for her impressive visuals, mobility, and healing potential.

Scheduled to conclude in November, the latest gacha banners are split into two phases, as usual. The first Wuthering Waves banner runs from September 29 to October 24, while the second is expected to continue until the release of patch 1.4. During this time, players can look forward to the return of Jiyan and the introduction of a new four-star Resonator, Youhu.

Wuthering Waves 1.3 Phase One: Till the Sea Turns Clear

The first character banner, Till the Sea Turns Clear, includes the following:

Shorekeeper is Wuthering Waves' second-ever 5-star healer, following Verina. For most meta compositions, aside from teams with Jinshi, her Resonance Liberation makes her a worthwhile upgrade. For the duration of the event, there are boosted drop rates for Shorekeeper, Taoqi, Yanyang, and Chixia. Notably, players are guaranteed a 5-star character within 80 Convenes, alongside a 4-star or higher item assured every 10 Convenes. However, with a total of 25 days to pull for her, players shouldn't anticipate Shorekeeper's banner returning anytime in the near future.

In addition, the first phase's weapon banner, Absolute Pulsation, includes:

Significantly, Stellar Symphony and Endless Collapse are new additions to the Featured Weapon Convene. All listed weapons will benefit from boosted drop rates during the event; however, it’s important to note that Shorekeeper's Stellar Symphony weapon is exclusive to the Featured Convene and won't be available through any other means after the event finishes. Nevertheless, players are guaranteed to receive the target 5-star weapon on their first 5-star pull.

Wuthering Waves 1.3 Phase Two: Prevail The Lasting Night

The second phase character banner, Prevail the Lasting Night, includes:

For the duration of the event, there will be boosted drop rates for all the mentioned items. Jiyan, an Aero-Broadblade unit, is the first rerun character, recognized for his formidable offensive and defensive capabilities. His upcoming banner features an ideal lineup of 4-star Resonators, including Sanhua, regarded as one of the best 4-star characters in Wuthering Waves, and Mortefi, who synergizes well with Jiyan.

Additionally, the upcoming banner in patch 1.3 will introduce a new 4-star character, Youhu. While some players were disappointed that Youhu wasn't included in Shorekeeper's banner, it's exciting to see a new 4-star Resonator added to the game. She not only seems highly versatile in healing but also appears well-suited for the sub-DPS role.

When it comes to the best weapons in Wuthering Waves, the last two are generally regarded as B-tier options. Verdant Summit is usually paired with Jiyan and Calcharo, but free-to-play players might opt for the Guardian Broadblade instead. Celestial Spiral is the only new weapon on this banner, with its main stats focusing on ATK. Similar to Stellar Symphony, players are 100% guaranteed to obtain Verdant Summit on their first 5-star pull.
