Through a series of Twitter posts, Wuthering Waves has confirmed that the long-rumored Cantarella will make her playable debut in Version 2.2. She is a 5-star Havoc unit who wields a Rectifier, which makes her the first character with this element and weapon combination. According to her description, Cantarella is the thirty-sixth head of the Fisalia family from Rinascita. Cantarella's design is centered around jellyfish motifs, including her umbrella. Earlier leaks suggested that Wuthering Waves would release Aero Rover alongside Cantarella in Version 2.2, but developers have not formally announced Rover's next element yet.

Wuthering Waves is expected to add several Resonators throughout 2025, so hopefully players won't have to wait until the next nation to pull for new units. On the other hand, per Kuro Games' usual drip marketing schedule, Cantarella would be the only new character for Wuthering Waves' next update. While Cantarella's release could be exciting news for players, fans have been wondering about another character's playable debut. Zani was part of the first marketing campaign for Rinascita alongside other units like Carlotta and Brant, so players hoped she would be next in line to join the roster. However, it seems that won't be the case.
