Wuthering Waves has revealed which five-star and four-star characters will be featured in its Version 2.0 banners, including the game's first two Rinascita characters. The anticipation for Wuthering Waves' next update is high among players, thanks to the arrival of new explorable areas, events, and more exciting content.

Less than a year since it was released, Wuthering Waves is diving into its 2.0 update on January 2, 2025. Kuro Games' RPG proved successful throughout 2024 and even earned a nomination for Best Mobile Game at The Game Awards. An earlier Wuthering Waves Version 2.0 trailer teased some of the story content and enemies coming with the release of Rinascita. Developers had previously confirmed that Carlotta and Roccia would be the first Rinascita units to join the roster and have showcased their performance in combat through promotional videos. Now, Wuthering Waves has revealed which characters will also feature in the 2.0 banners.

Through the game's official website, Wuthering Waves has revealed Carlotta and Zhezhi for Version 2.0 Phase 1, with Sanhua, Chixia, and Mortefi as the featured 4-Stars. Phase 2 will feature the 5-Star units Roccia and Jinhsi along with 4-Stars Danjin, Youhu, and Yuanwu. The announcement also confirms that Carlotta is a Glacio Resonator and Pistols wielder, whereas Roccia is a Havoc Gauntlet unit. The timing for a Jinhsi rerun coincides with Wuthering Waves adding a premium skin for the character, though the skin will be available starting from Phase 1.

While Phase 1 only has Glacio and Fusion characters, Phase 2's Elements are more varied. Players may be excited to pull for the new Rinascita characters, but they should also consider going for the featured Huanglong ones. Wuthering Waves' Zhezhi is a great team addition, for example, thanks to her off-field damage. Meanwhile, Jinhsi happens to be one of the game's best DPS units overall.

The Rinascita era is expected to add even more playable Resonators to Wuthering Waves in the following patches. Per Kuro Games' official media, other potential characters are Zani, Brant, and Phoebe. There is also speculation that Phrolova, the main antagonist in Wuthering Waves Version 2.0, may join the roster sometime during the patch cycle.
