A big part of the gameplay loop in Wuthering Waves is going out and hunting for echoes. While the game lets players partake in this activity right from the start, it only becomes worthwhile after players reach Data Bank 15 and unlock 5-Star echoes.
The main way to increase the Data Bank level is to hunt down echoes of every Tacet Discord. When obtained for the first time, each unique echo gives a certain amount of Data Bank EXP. Players need to find and kill every monster in the game until they drop the highest rarity echo available. One of the Tacet Discords that can be a bit tricky to locate is the H11-Diamondclaw. Here is where to find it.
Wuthering Waves: Every Glacio Resonator, Ranked
It is important to have a balance of all type of elements in Wuthering Waves but which Glacio wielding characters should the players go for?
H11-Diamondclaw Echo Location in Wuthering Waves
Like all enemies in Wuthering Waves, the H11 Echo Diamondclaw can be located by tracking it through the Echo entry. However, unlike many other Tacet Discords, the first location of the H11 Echo the game points players toward doesn’t seem to have any Diamondclaws. This is because the first default location for the H11 is actually an underground bunker. To reach this location, players will first have to find the entrance leading to the underground facility. Here is what you need to do.
- Open the H11-Diamondclaw entry in the Echo Hunting tab in the Guidebook.
-
Hit ‘Detect.’
-
Instead of heading directly to the tracked location, find an abandoned facility to the north (location marked in the screenshot above).
- Look for a small cave entrance marked by metal stairs leading down into the depths.
- Continue along the tunnel, and you’ll find four Diamondclaws in the cave, with two guarding a chest.
Diamondclaws are Normal Class Tacet Discords with an Echo Pity of 8.
After players clear out the Diamondclaw scorpions from the cave, the Guidebook will automatically track a new group of Diamondclaws nearby. The new location should be easier to navigate because it should be on ground level.
How to Clear the Scorpion Nest (Optional)
At the end of this cave is a Scorpion Nest containing three red level 70 Diamondclaws. Considering their level, the easy way to clear the nest would be to wait to advance to SOL3 Phase 5 and upgrade your characters to level 70 before taking this group on.
But if players want to take these monsters out before reaching the appropriate level, the only way to do that is to use counteracts to deal damage. Counterattacks in Wuthering Waves (dodge and follow-up) ignore the level difference and deal pure percentage-based damage. This is the easiest way to take down red enemies when you are at a lower level than they are, as it cuts through their innately high HP in minutes.
Clearing all the level 70 Diamondclaws will give players the achievement: 'Empty the Nest.'
