The Fallacy of No Return is one of the many bosses in Wuthering Waves, and it is also one of the most frustrating to go against when it comes to Tactical Hologram battles. It's relentless with its attacks, and it can easily catch players off-guard with its delayed moves and seemingly-endless combos.

As challenging as this boss is, beating can be a simple matter of using the right strategy or building the right team in WuWa. If you're having trouble with the Fallacy of No Return, here's a guide to help you out.

Players can find the Fallacy of No Return in Data Torrent in Tethys' Deep. To fight the boss there, players must first complete the To the Shores End main quest. This version of the boss is somewhat easy with a full team of fully-built characters, and here, it will drop Topological Confinement, an Ascension material for Camellya, Youhu, and Shorekeeper.

The Tactical Hologram version of the Fallacy of No Return is located in Thessaleo Falls in Rinascita. This version of the boss is much more powerful than the one in Tethys' Deep, and it will require a considerable amount of character investment and player skill in order to take down its strongest variant.

Beating any Tactical Hologram boss in Rinascita rewards players with Trial Coins, Shell Credits, Tuners, and ever-valuable Astrites.

Fallacy of No Return Boss Guide

If you want to beat the strongest Tactical Hologram version of the Fallacy of No Return in WuWa, you'll want to take note of the following:

  • The boss is resistant to Spectro damage
  • The boss becomes highly resistant to Interruption when Overclocked

You'll want to avoid using Resonators like Zani or Jinhsi when fighting this boss. In Tactical Hologram fights, time is of the essence, so you can't afford to deal less damage. Additionally, when Fallacy starts to turn red, it will become harder to stagger/interrupt.

The level 100 Fallacy of No Return hologram boss has the following Special Mechanisms:

  • [Precision]: Successful dodges grant a stack of Hoverpoint for 3s. Reaching three stacks of Hoverpoint grants Supercompute, which increases your character's ATK by 30% and recovers 5 Stamina per second.
  • [Crumble]: Three minutes after the battle starts, the boss' ATK will increase by 30% every 10 seconds, with no stack limit. Meanwhile, players will get 10% extra every 10s, with a cap of 100%. Players will also lose 10% max HP every 2s until they reach 20% health.

Now, when it comes to actually fighting the boss, here are some tips to keep in mind:

  • Watch for visual tells that indicate when the boss is about to hit. Look for cross-shaped flashes in its eyes, hammer, ranged attacks, and feet.
  • The boss has predictable combos. Dedicate a few attempts to simply learning the boss' moves first.
  • The ground will erupt after a stomp if the patterns on the floor start glowing orange/red.
  • Do not spam your attack button. Be methodical when attacking, and learn when to cancel out of your combos.
  • You must play your rotations perfectly. Don't panic, then focus on dodging and countering.
  • Try to stun the boss as quickly as possible with characters like Yinlin.
  • As always, upgrade your team as much as possible before attempting a full clear.
