Summary
- A new permanent game mode called "Fantasies of the Thousand Gateways" with weekly resets is expected in Wuthering Waves Version 2.1.
- Players can reportedly accumulate 6,000 "Illusive Points" by completing challenges in different gates to earn Astrites and other rewards.
Recent Wuthering Waves leaks have revealed a new permanent game mode with weekly resets debuting in Version 2.1. Wuthering Waves' next update is expected to launch around mid-February.
Since its launch, Kuro Games' hit game Wuthering Waves has been praised for its graphics quality and fast-paced gameplay, as well as its compelling story set in the world of Solaris-3. However, fans have pointed out how Wuthering Waves does not have much endgame content. The most prominent endgame mode currently available is Wuthering Waves' Tower of Adversity, which is similar to Genshin Impact's Spyral Abyss. The game also has Tactical Hologram: Calamity challenges with harder bosses, but this mode's rewards can only be claimed once. It seems Wuthering Waves fans may finally have new endgame content soon, according to recent leaks.

Since the launch of Genshin Impact, the demand for similar games on mobile has surged, but which ones are right for you?
Reliable Wuthering Waves leaker Sleep has reported that a new permanent game mode called "Fantasies of the Thousand Gateways" is coming to the game in Version 2.1. Per the leak, this mode would reset its challenges and rewards weekly. Players enter different "gates," each with their own challenges and buffs, to accumulate up to 6,000 "Illusive Points." An earlier leak from the same source suggested that players can earn up to 160 weekly Astrites per gate by reaching 5,000 points. Every gate also has a list of characters that players can use to obtain a 150% point bonus during that cycle. Finally, there are other rewards like EXP materials and Shell Credits. It is worth noting that claiming the rewards would cost 60 Waveplates. If the leaks turn out to be true, the new endgame mode could make farming for Astrites in Wuthering Waves less difficult.
Wuthering Waves Leaks Reveal New Permanent Game Mode for Version 2.1
While the addition of a new permanent game mode with weekly resets would be great for Wuthering Waves, the game may still be falling behind competitors like Honkai: Star Rail, which has three endgame modes available. On the other hand, Kuro Games has consistently acknowledged players' feedback in past updates, so perhaps Wuthering Waves could add more endgame content in the future. On the other hand, previous leaks have teased that Wuthering Waves is adding Echo presets in Version 2.1, a feature that Genshin Impact players have long demanded regarding Artifacts.
Wuthering Waves Version 2.1 will debut two 5-Star characters, Phoebe and Brant. Phoebe is a Spectro Rectifier unit, while Brant is a Fusion Sword character. More Rinascita characters are expected to debut in later Wuthering Waves patches, like Zani and the rumored Cantarella.
