Kuro Games' hit open-world RPG Wuthering Waves was first launched in May 2024 for PC and mobile devices. Although its mobile debut faced some serious performance issues, the game quickly became popular among fans because of its fast-paced gameplay and high-quality graphics. Later, in January 2025, Wuthering Waves officially landed on PS5 consoles with the release of Version 2.0. Now, Wuthering Waves is preparing for Version 2.2, and the developers have confirmed its debut on yet another platform.

As confirmed by Kuro Games, Wuthering Waves is landing on Steam on April 29, during the second phase of its upcoming 2.2 update. The RPG is already listed on Steam and players can add it to their Wishlist now. The developer stated that Wuthering Waves' Steam version will support "seamless data-sharing across PS5, PC, and mobile devices". However, per the game's Steam page, players will be required to have a Kuro Games account to play. Fans can link their Steam account to their Kuro Games one as well. The RPG is already available for PC through its official website or the Epic Games Store, but a Steam debut could attract both new and veteran players. Moreover, the launch could also help Wuthering Waves set itself apart from its rival Genshin Impact, which has never been added to Steam.
