Taoqi is a defensive specialist who can deal and absorb tons of damage in Wuthering Waves. Her unique playstyle may make her feel clunky to some, but despite her slow animations and low DPS, she is a solid choice for almost every team composition in the game.
If you find yourself with a built Taoqi in Wuthering Waves, you'll then need to pick the perfect teammates to group her up with. The following guide discusses her most optimal partners in battle, including information on why said partners work well with her.
Wuthering Waves: Every Glacio Resonator, Ranked
It is important to have a balance of all type of elements in Wuthering Waves but which Glacio wielding characters should the players go for?
Best Taoqi Team In Wuthering Waves
Taoqi is similar to Wuthering Waves characters like Sanhua and Mortefi in the sense that she can fit in almost any team and work with almost every character. However, as of writing, there are few characters who can take full advantage of Taoqi's strengths. The three best characters to pair with her as the sub-DPS are:
- Danjin (Main DPS)
- Chixia (Main DPS)
- Verina (Support/Healer)
- Baizhi (Support/Healer)
Take Taoqi with one main DPS and one Support from the list, and you'll have a team that can take on anything that isn't resistant to the main DPS character's element. Here's a more in-depth analysis on why Taoqi works so well with them.
Danjin
Danjin is a glass cannon who is almost always low on health thanks to the HP cost of her Resonance Skill. This also makes her one of the best Wuthering Waves characters when it comes to dealing damage.
Taoqi can provide Danjin with a shield that can keep her from getting one-shot without necessarily healing her, making sure that the latter can take advantage of effects that trigger when the user is low on health, such as the passive on Sword#18. Additionally, since Danjin's damage mostly comes from her Resonance Skill, she can benefit greatly from the Resonance Skill DMG Deepen effect from Taoqi's Outro Skill.
Wuthering Waves: Dreamless Boss Guide (H81 Echo)
Players missing the H81 Echo in their Wuthering Waves Data Bank can head to the Dreamless weekly boss fight and try to get the H81 Echo there.
Chixia
The one thing that makes Chixia bad compared to other Resonators is that the channeling of her Resonance Skill can be canceled when she takes damage. Taoqi can prevent this to an extent, allowing Chixia to dump 30 bullets of her Resonance Skill into targets without getting interrupted. Big hits from bosses may still knock shielded characters off-balance, though.
Like Danjin, Chixia's damage mostly comes from her Resonance Skill. If you get an extra Waveband for Chixia, the follow-up attack (which counts as Resonance Skill DMG) she makes after spending 30 Thermobaric Bullets is guaranteed to critically hit — Taoqi's Outro Skill can greatly increase the damage dealt by this attack.
Baizhi/Verina
Baizhi and Verina can fit in every team comp in the game. It's hard to say no to healing, and even if you have Taoqi to provide shields, you can still get some damage buffs from these two characters.
A well-built Verina can carry any team in Wuthering Waves, and while Baizhi's healing isn't as strong, she can still provide considerable value to anyone she's paired with.
