Encore may not be as powerful as Calcharo and Jiyan in Wuthering Waves, but she's still highly viable as a main DPS. To play Encore, players must take note of her Resonance Liberation (Ultimate), as her Ult enhances her hits and puts her in a state where she goes berserk on enemies.

Outside her Ult state, Encore is a ranged character, similar to Catalyst users in Genshin Impact. However, after she casts her Resonance Liberation, she becomes a melee unit, making it harder for players to avoid hits, and demanding players to either improve their dodging skills or bring a sustain Resonator to Encore team comp in Wuthering Waves.

3 Encore + Sanhua + Verina

Encore's DPS multiplier mostly comes from her Resonance Liberation, but her hits are considered Basic Attack DMG, which means Sanhua's Outro Skill in Wuthering Waves can benefit Encore greatly. Sanhua gives 38% Basic Attack DMG Deepen for 14s when she's switched out. Meanwhile, Verina is a healer who can also buff on her Outro Skill. Unlike Sanhua whose buff only goes to the next character, Verina's All-Type DMG Deepen is given to all characters, which means she and Sanhua won't clash against each other.

Therefore, in this Encore team comp in Wuthering Waves, players should start the rotation with Verina, then Sanhua, and then Encore. This way, Encore can enjoy the buffs both from Verina and Sanhua.

2 Encore + Yangyang + Jianxin

Encore is an excellent DPS in Wuthering Waves that can deal AoE DMG. Because of this, she'll greatly benefit from having a crowd controller from characters like Yangyang and Jianxin. Yangyang also helps regenerate energy with her Outro Skill, allowing Encore to continuously buff herself via her Ultimate. Jianxin's buff increases Resonance Liberation DMG, which is not very useful for Encore (she only benefits from this when she uses Resonance Skill in her Ult state), but Jianxin has other supportive values. Jianxin's Ultimate has great crowd control, and Forte Circuit provides shielding and healing for the team. This means she's a jack-of-all-trade that you can bring to remove the need for a dedicated healer such as Baizhi and Verina.

1 Encore + Mortefi + Baizhi

This F2P-friendly Encore team comp in Wuthering Waves relies on both Encore and Mortefi to deal damage. Baizhi mostly works as a healer, although she also has a short buff in her Outro Skill. Since Baizhi's buff is only 6s long and Mortefi's buff only increases Heavy ATK DMG (which Encore doesn't benefit as much as Baizhi's), players can do the following rotation: Mortefi > Baizhi > Encore. Alternatively, players can utilize Mortefi's buff if they plan to quick-swap Encore when she uses her Heavy Attack and activates her Mayhem state.
