Vault Underground is a massive depository space constructed by the Montelli Family and one of the new areas introduced in Wuthering Waves Version 2.1. Located beneath the Averardo Vault, this area offers plenty of treasures and challenges for players to discover. One of these challenges is Dream Patrol, which requires players to meet specific conditions while battling Tacet Discords.
There are two Dream Patrol challenges in Vault Underground. To access this area and its challenges, players must first complete the Exploration Quest Silent as a Falling Leaf, which automatically appears in their quest log upon logging in during or after Version 2.1. Here are the two Dream Patrol challenges in Vault Underground and how to complete them in Wuthering Waves.

Vault Underground Dream Patrol Challenges
Location #1
The first Dream Patrol challenge in Vault Underground is located on the first floor of the Precious Metals and Artworks Depository. After using the Resonance Beacon, head inside the building and go to the room behind the main staircase. There will be a security light above the door that players must deactivate using the Montelli Clearance Module tool.
This Dream Patrol requires players to defeat a Diurnus Knight within two and a half minutes while completing three objectives:
- Reach and maintain Battle Rank S or above for 8 seconds.
- Complete 2 counterattacks.
- Defeat the knight while it is immobilized.
Players can raise their Battle Rank by attacking, dodging, or countering. However, since the Diurnus Knight won’t perform counterable attacks until it transitions to its enhanced phase, players should focus on building their Battle Rank in the meantime. The Diurnus Knight signals this transition by bowing and summoning three differently colored swords around itself.
The knight’s first counterable attack is an aerial strike, where it leaps backward into the air before charging at the player. The second occurs after it completes two quick spins with its sword before lunging forward—this can be easily identified when the knight briefly lands on its knees after spinning.
To fulfill the immobilization objective, players should ensure they have enough burst damage to finish off the Diurnus Knight once it is staggered. Consuming food that boosts character damage can help secure this condition. Each completed objective rewards players with a Tidal Heritage of increasing rarity.

Location #2
The second Dream Patrol challenge is located in the Echo Depository, just north of the previous location. After using the Resonance Beacon, head inside the building and proceed to the room behind the staircase. This challenge pits players against Rage Against the Statue within a two-and-a-half-minute time limit.
The three objectives for this challenge are:
- Reach Battle Rank S for more than 10 seconds.
- Immobilize Rage Against the Statue twice.
- Take fewer than 10 hits.
To maximize efficiency, players should first eliminate the two Golden Junrocks and Calcified Junrocks to build Battle Rank and reduce the risk of taking unnecessary hits. Afterward, they can focus on immobilizing the main Tacet Discord.
Whenever Rage Against the Statue’s stagger bar drops to around 50%, it will summon a rock shield to protect itself, reducing incoming stagger damage. Destroying this shield by attacking from the front will instantly immobilize the enemy.
To avoid accidentally defeating Rage Against the Statue before meeting the immobilization requirement, players should allow it to recover before forcing it to summon another rock shield. Completing all objectives in this Dream Patrol challenge also rewards players with all three Tidal Heritage rarities. Currently, these are the only two Dream Patrol challenges in Vault Underground.
