The Hidden Truth has confused some Wuthering Waves players because it's pretty hard to trigger. Despite some believing that the quest is bugged, it’s just initiated by an overworld event near the Remnant Residence that is easily missed.

How To Start 'A True Arena Champion' In Wuthering Waves
To begin your quest to unlock 'The Hidden Truth' achievement, save the Exile in the north of the Remnant Residence. On a small island near the Remnant Residence, the player will find a group of TDs surrounding an Exile. After defeating these enemies, the Exile, named Zeyuan, will ask for help, initiating the 'A True Arena Champion' side quest.
How To Complete ‘The Hidden Truth’ In Wuthering Waves
A True Arena Champion is a relatively easy side quest where the player fights several groups of enemies. Before entering the arena and fighting the champions, the player must get an access pass by completing some training objectives. Here’s how to follow the quest instructions and complete it quickly.
Get All Three Training Badges
After talking to the people inside the Exile outpost, the player must complete the Receptionist’s tasks. He will propose three qualification missions: climbing, aiming, and fighting. All these objectives are straightforward, but here’s a quick rundown for beginner players who might struggle.
- Parkour challenge: For the first mission, the player must climb the highest tower in the Outpost, retrieve the sniper rifle on the rooftop, and return to the Receptionist. Just follow the objective markers and climb the walls to reach the destination.
- Aiming challenge: For this mission, the player is recommended to use a pistol-wielding Resonator. The objective involves shooting down a series of floating targets. Resonators with a gun can aim and shoot these targets by holding the attack button.
- Combat challenge: As the final admission objective, the player needs to battle a low-level TD to prove their combat skills before entering the arena.
Win The Battle In Seaside Arena
Once the Receptionist's entrance exam is over, the player must head to the Seaside Arena and battle three waves of enemies. Fortunately, the player can use their entire comp, and the battle won’t restrict any abilities.
It's best to take down the enemies’ Echoes first, as they deal the highest damage.
Defeat The Gladiator Champion
To conclude the 'A True Arena Champion' (The Hidden Truth) quest, the player will need to battle the previous champion of the Seaside Arena. They will receive a call from this Exile and meet them near the Outpost. After the first meeting, players must wait until 12:00 PM the next day to continue.
The player can skip time by going to their Terminal and choosing the clock icon at the bottom of the menu.
The next day, a two-phase fight will take place between the player and the Guardian Champion. Both phases are simple, and the player can win by taking out the enemy's Echoes. After the fight, the player needs to say goodbye to the Exiles at the Outpost and head out. This unlocks the “A Desperate Gamble” trophy/achievement and concludes 'A True Arena Champion' and 'The Hidden Truth' quests.
