How to Drag and Control Opponents in WWE 2K24

It is nearly impossible to get the perfect position from the natural flow of a match, which is why it is vital that players pick up the skill of how to control the ring and move your opponent via dragging in WWE 2K24.

Once the opponent is down on the mat or on the floor, or even while standing up, it opens up the possibility of players being able to move them to more advantageous locations that can be exploited further. To start dragging an opponent, press Circle/B when you are next to their body to initiate a grab, followed by either L1/LB to begin dragging them.

While in the process of dragging, players can let go of their opponents by pressing L1/LB again, or use the environment to your advantage with an attack by using Square/X. Of course, if your opponents are still fresh, this hold on them won't last long, so make sure you have prepped for whatever reprisal might be on the way.

If things go according to plan, the opponent will be in a position to be damaged further, such as being prepped in the corner for a finisher. Also, it helps to prevent the annoying occurrence of rope breaks if you are hoping to score the pin and the win.

On the flipside, if you find yourself being dragged around by the opponent, it will still take a while before your wrestler is able to shake it off and mount a counterattack. This is easier when you are fresh, but as the fight goes on, it may be wiser to use some of the other recovery techniques to avoid being controlled by the opponent.
