Change The Steel Cage Type In WWE 2K25
You can change the rules for the Steel Cage match and even select the kind of Steel Cage you want, from the classic blue or plain steel.
- Select Play from the Home screen.
- Then highlight and select Steel Cage.
- Select the number of participants.
- Select your arena.
- Highlight and open the Match Rules.
- Accept the Pin or Submission rule.
- Switch on Climb Out of the Cage.
- Set your Time Limit.
- Now, you can select the Steel Cage Type from Steel, Blue, Black, and Scrap Trap.
- Accept your choices and pick your wrestlers for the match.
Fighting Inside The Steel Cage In WWE 2K25
Throw Opponents Into The Cage
- Hold the L-stick + B/Circle, aim toward the cage to slam your opponents over the rope and face-first into the fence.
- Press the B/Circle to grab your opponent. Then press LB/L1 to drag them toward the ropes. When the X/Square appears above your wrestler's head, press it to throw your opponent back-first into the cage.
Carry Moves Into The Cage
- Grab the opponent with B/Circle.
- Press RB/R1 to lift them on your shoulder, then walk to the cage to throw them headfirst into it.
- Press RB/R1 + R-stick up, down, left, or right to hold them into other carry positions.
- Walk them towards the steel cage and press B/Circl e when it appears.
Avoid carrying your opponents for too long, as it'll drain your wrestler's stamina.
Diving Attack From The Top Rope
- Press the RB/R1 button to climb the cage.
- When your wrestler reaches the middle rope, walk them across the cage.
- When in position, press the X/Square or A/X to perform a diving attack in WWE 2K25.
Diving From The Top Of The Cage
- Climb the cage again, and when the WWE Superstar is straddled over the top of the cage, instead of pressing LB/L1 to escape, press RB/R1 to stand on the top of the cage. Then press X/Circle or A/X to dive from the top of the cage.
How To Win The Steel Cage Match In WWE 2K25
In a Steel Cage match, if the default rules are in effect, you can win by pinfall or submission, just like in a regular match. Additionally, you have the option to win by escaping the cage through the door or by climbing over the top to reach the outside. However, before attempting to escape, it's advisable to deliver several signature and finishing moves to keep your opponent stunned on the mat for as long as possible.
Escape Through The Cage Door
- Walk to the corner where the referee is standing and press LB/L1 to get the ref to open the door.
- After the referee has unlocked the cage, press the RB/R1 and finish the minigame to escape.
Escape Over The Cage
Escaping the Steel Cage by climbing over the fence can be quite frustrating. Especially as it requires completing two minigames, and how easy it is for your opponent to catch your wrestlers and pull them back inside the ring. As before, hit them with signature and finishing moves to keep them stunned.
- Stand near the cage wall and press the LB/L1 to climb and stand up on the top rope.
- Then press the RB/R1 button to begin climbing.
- Then press LB/L1 to initiate the minigame to escape. You must finish the minigame before your opponent stops you from escaping over the cage.
That's everything required to utilize the cage as a weapon and win the match via escaping the door or climbing the fence.
