Xbox Launches New Buy 1 Get 1 Free Sale for August 2025

Xbox has kicked off another “buy one, get one free” sale, and the deals are available through August 19. At any given moment, Xbox gamers looking for a bargain on a new adventure can probably find one. This could be via Xbox Game Pass, which always has a discount on select titles in addition to the rotating library of games it offers to subscribers, or it could be one of the many sales held throughout the year.

It can be easy to get stuck in a rut, playing the same titles over and over or sticking to the same favorite game genres. But sales provide a prime opportunity to check out something random, something in a new genre, with a minimized risk to the wallet. Often, some bargains are nothing to get excited about, maybe offering only 10% off or discounting a limited number of titles. But “buy one, get one” deals are about as good as it gets.

Xbox Is Having a ‘Buy One, Get One Free’ Sale

Through August 19, Xbox is offering a “buy one, get one” deal on simulator games on console, and this genre has more to offer than some people might realize. Bandai Namco’s award-winning Ace Combat 7: Skies Unknown – Top Gun: Maverick Edition and Saber Interactive’s highly rated SnowRunner count among the titles currently up for grabs, but there are also a number of lesser known indie gems like 2018’s psychological thriller Gray Dawn and the evolution simulator Creatura. This sale seems to only be available on console and can be found by browsing the store directly on Xbox.

The Xbox BOGO sale for August also includes the first three games in the popular Construction Simulator franchise, as well as a couple of Bus Simulator titles and 2023’s Tram Simulator: Urban Transit. Published by Astragon, the former series of games puts players behind the wheel of a range of heavy machinery and excavators with the goal of building a successful international construction business. These recreations of real-life vehicles are officially licensed from actual manufacturers like Bobcat, Caterpiller, and Liebherr, and the incredibly detailed settings truly let players live out their big rig fantasies.

There are also some less traditional simulators on the list of titles on offer during the Xbox “buy one, get one” sale. Tin Can, a 2022 release with a Very Positive review rating on Steam, sticks players in an escape pod hurtling through space after an unfortunate spaceship explosion. Weedcraft Inc gives would-be entrepreneurs the chance to try their hand at growing, breeding, cross-breeding, and selling a controversial plant. And Smart Tale Games’ My Universe – My Baby tests gamers’ parenting skills, from changing diapers and feeding to decorating baby's room.
