With the launch of Final Fantasy 14 on Xbox Series X/S just days away, Microsoft and Square Enix revealed a custom Xbox Series X console and controller as part of a giveaway. One lucky winner will receive a new Xbox hardware bundle, the Final Fantasy 14 Complete Collector's Edition, and a year-long Xbox Game Pass Ultimate membership.

The giveaway started just one week before Final Fantasy 14 exits beta on Xbox Series X/S and goes into a full release on March 21. At the time of writing, the Xbox open beta only allows new players to sign up for the free trial version of Final Fantasy 14, with restrictions on chats and the player economy. However, the free trial includes access to the main stories of A Realm Reborn, Heavensward, and Stormblood, with no playtime restrictions and a level cap of 70. The launch of the Xbox version of Final Fantasy 14 will take place amid a busy week for the development team, as the game prepares to launch Patch 6.58 on March 19.

However, Final Fantasy 14 players looking to score a unique collector's item and new game console now have an opportunity. On Twitter, Xbox and Final Fantasy 14 revealed a special Xbox Series X console shaped like one of the Aetherytes from the game. Users who want to win this console will need to follow both the @Xbox and @FF_XIV_EN Twitter feeds and repost with the hashtag #XboxFFXIVSweepstakes for a chance to win the console and controller bundle, along with the Complete Collector's Edition of Final Fantasy 14, and a year-long Xbox Game Pass Ultimate membership. The Twitter giveaway runs until March 28.

According to the promotions' official rules, residents in Canada and Mexico are also eligible to win by following @XboxCanada and @XboxMexico respectively instead. Though Xbox has given away custom consoles for games such as Palworld, this custom Xbox Series X has additional decorations that Final Fantasy 14 fans may recognize. Gold rings, a gold base, and some crystals on the bottom surround this unique, blue console. The Final Fantasy 14 logo is shown front and center, and the console comes with a matching controller. The Final Fantasy 14 Xbox controller features a crystal logo on the bottom middle side, a golden D-pad, and a meteor icon encircling the left stick.

Between the new Xbox Series X giveaway and the upcoming Dawntrail panel at PAX East, Final Fantasy 14 is gearing up for a busy 2024. Who will take home the crystalline Xbox Series X console remains to be seen.
