Microsoft has announced two new games for Xbox Live Gold subscribers to claim in April 2023: Out of Space: Couch Edition and Peaky Blinders: Mastermind. Players who subscribe Xbox Live Gold will get the chance to play them, as well as another title from last month which will still be available until April 15.

Xbox Live Gold is a fairly old-school service offered by Microsoft. It started back in 2002 with the original Xbox and has continued since then, allowing gamers to claim free games for Xbox and get special discounts for some titles. The service is also necessary for playing online with friends. At the moment, Game Pass Ultimate subscribers can also get the benefits of the program, being able to claim these same free games as well.

This month, Xbox players can claim two titles from the store, Out of Space: Couch Edition and Peaky Blinders: Mastermind. The number of offerings is down from three in March when Xbox Live Gold offered more games than usual. Out of Space: Couch Edition is a local co-op game about living together in space during an alien infestation. It allows two players to manage resources and plan together while taking care of a house. Peaky Blinders: Mastermind, on the other hand, is a puzzle adventure title that uses the same setting as the famous TV show. The game’s goal is to control several characters and synchronize their actions to pull off perfect plans.

Xbox Live Gold subscribers will also get the opportunity to claim Lamentum until April 15. The title was originally offered for Xbox Live Gold in March, but it’s still claimable for two weeks. This pixel art survival horror game uses a top-down perspective and received fairly positive reviews from critics and players alike. Considered a homage to the survival horror genre, it has decent replay value and dynamic gameplay that is set in New England in the mid-nineteenth century.

In the meantime, Xbox Game Pass updated its full lineup for April today with Infinite Guitars, a day-one RPG game in which the player fights machines with guitar solos. In the game’s story, metal war machines come to the human world and the player needs to face them off with the power of music. Other highlights of the month include Ghostwire Tokyo, which will be available on April 12 for Xbox Series X, and the Pokemon clone Cassette Beasts, available for PC starting on April 26.
