Microsoft recently announced that three games will leave the popular Xbox Game Pass subscription service at the end of July. Every month, games are added and removed from Xbox Game Pass, and it seems that subscribers got a pretty good deal in July, with some excellent additions and not too many removals.
The first round of titles leaving Xbox Game Pass in July 2025 included six games: Flock, Mafia: Definitive Edition, Magical Delicacy, Tchia, The Callisto Protoco l, and The Case of the Golden Idol. Mafia is undoubtedly the biggest game on the list, and it makes for the perfect option to play before the release of the eagerly awaited Mafia: The Old Country, which will be out on August 8.
Recent Xbox Game Pass Addition Sees Surge in Popularity
A recently added game becomes incredibly popular on Xbox Game Pass, and fans are encouraged to check it out before it leaves the subscription service.
Now, Microsoft has revealed that Gigantic, Kunitsu-Gami: Path of the Goddess, and Turnip Boy Robs a Bank will be removed from Game Pass on July 31. The most noteworthy entry on the list is Kunitsu-Gami: Path of the Goddess, released by Capcom in 2024. The game’s entire story takes around 16 to 21 hours to complete, so it may be worth a shot for gamers who like action-strategy titles. Turnip Boy Robs a Bank has “Overwhelmingly Positive” reviews on Steam, and it only lasts 4 to 5 hours, so it is also completeable before it leaves Game Pass. Gigantic, however, is a third-person hero shooter with “Mixed” reviews on Steam, and is a bit longer than the other two. As usual, subscribers can purchase any of these games with a 20% discount before they leave Xbox Game Pass, in case they have not finished them.

While titles constantly leave Game Pass, the service has seen some popular additions recently. For example, High on Life was recently added to Xbox Game Pass, returning after being originally launched on day one in 2022 in the service and removed later.
Microsoft also confirmed eight titles coming to Xbox Game Pass in the coming weeks: RoboCop: Rogue City, My Friendly Neighborhood, Back to the Dawn, Abiotic Factor, Wheel World, Wuchang: Fallen Feathers, Grounded 2 (early access), and Farming Simulator 25. The highlights are Wheel World, Wuchang: Fallen Feathers, and Grounded 2, which will be day one releases and promise plenty of fun for subscribers.
Overall, 2025 has been an incredible year for Xbox Game Pass. The service offered multiple day one titles to subscribers, such as Oblivion Remastered, Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, Blue Prince, Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3 + 4, and others. Hopefully, the rest of the year will continue to be just as stacked.
