During the Xbox & Bethesda Games Showcase, Microsoft made a number of announcements about its Xbox Game Pass subscription service, confirming a variety of titles that will be joining the lineup this year and in 2023. There should be no shortage of new games for Xbox Game Pass subscribers to play in the months ahead, but while there are plenty of games that will be added to Game Pass, there will also be many that are removed from Game Pass as well.

Microsoft tends to remove Xbox Game Pass games in two batches every month, with some rare exceptions to the rule. Most of the time, games are removed from Xbox Game Pass on the 15th of the month and then on the last day of the month, and so far it seems as though June 2022 is sticking to that rule. Microsoft previously confirmed five games that would be removed from Xbox Game Pass on June 15, meaning today is the last day subscribers have to play them.

The five games being removed from Xbox Game Pass today include some notable titles. Today marks the last day Xbox Game Pass subscribers can check out Darkest Dungeon, Dungeons & Dragons: Dark Alliance, GreedFall, Limbo, and Worms Rumble through their subscription. All five games are available at a 20% discount while they're still available on Game pass, so anyone that wants to keep them will want to consider jumping on that deal.

  • Dungeons & Dragons: Dark Alliance - June 15
  • GreedFall - June 15
  • Limbo - June 15
  • Worms Rumble - June 15

Darkest Dungeon is a roguelite with a dark, medieval Gothic atmosphere that earned mostly positive reviews at the time of its release, and it's definitely one of the saddest games to see get the boot from Game Pass. Dungeons & Dragons: Dark Alliance, meanwhile, earned mostly negative reviews when it came out, but it is still a notable Game Pass game because it was added to the service on day one back when it first came out.

GreedFall is another big game that fans will be sad to see removed from the Xbox Game Pass lineup. GreedFall is an action-RPG from Spiders that has developed a dedicated fan base of its own, with enough interest to spawn a prequel called GreedFall 2: The Dying World. LIMBO, meanwhile, is the most critically-acclaimed game on the entire list. It's a 2D side-scroller known for its haunting atmosphere and clever storytelling. And finally, Worms Rumble is a battle royale take on the classic Worms franchise. All five games will be available to play on Xbox Game Pass until June 16, at which point they will be removed.

Even more Xbox Game Pass games will be removed at the end of June, though Microsoft has yet to reveal them at the time of this writing. Fans should stay tuned for more information on that front.
