Xbox Game Pass is losing 10 titles—including four Yakuza entries—later today, March 31. These departures will mark the so far largest Xbox Game Pass exodus of 2025.

While months in which Microsoft's subscription service removes more games than it adds used to be rare, they have become the norm as of late. For instance, 16 titles left Xbox Game Pass in February 2025, with only eight new ones being introduced.

March 31 is the last day for Xbox Game Pass subscribers to play 10 titles, including four entries in the Yakuza series: Yakuza 0, the Kiwami remakes of the first two games, and the 2020 Yakuza: Like a Dragon. Hot Wheels Unleashed 2: Turbocharged and Lil Gator Game are also on the list of late March 2025 departures, together with Open Roads, Monster Hunter Rise, and The Lamplighters League. Lastly, while Microsoft initially announced that MLB The Show 25 would be leaving Xbox Game Pass on March 15, its removal has been pushed by two weeks and is part of this forthcoming catalog rotation instead.

In terms of average length, this is one of the most content-packed Xbox Game Pass departure waves in recent memory. Lil Gator Game and Open Roads are the only two titles that could feasibly be completed in an afternoon—though perhaps not both, as each offers several hours' worth of content. The remaining eight games are all near-impossible to finish on such short notice.

Xbox Game Pass No Longer Offers Any Yakuza Games

Xbox Game Pass has been bleeding Yakuza titles since late February 28, when it lost the third and fourth series entries. Following this upcoming rotation, Microsoft's subscription service will no longer offer any installment in Sega and Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio's iconic franchise. Yakuza: Like a Dragon had the longest Xbox Game Pass stint out of this entire wave of departures, having been available to Microsoft's subscribers since June 2021. On the other end of the spectrum is Lil Gator Game, which has been part of the XGP content catalog for just under a year. These 10 titles are expected to be officially pulled from the service around midnight, local time. With them, Xbox Game Pass will have lost 18 games over the course of March 2025.

The next batch of removals is expected to be announced alongside the April 2025 Wave 1 lineup. Historical precedent suggests this announcement will happen on the first Tuesday of next month, which falls on April 1. Six titles have already been confirmed to be coming to Xbox Game Pass in April 2025, including Commandos: Origins, South of Midnight, Blue Prince, and Descenders Next—all of which are slated to arrive in the first half of the following month. Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 and Tempopo are then set to follow suit in the latter half.
