Microsoft has worked hard to make Xbox Game Pass the best deal in gaming. For a relatively low subscription fee (or no fee at all for those who make sure to complete as many Microsoft Rewards quests as possible), Xbox Game Pass subscribers can get their hands on brand-new day one releases and well over 100 other titles. New games are added to Xbox Game Pass all the time, and fans should be learning about what's coming to the service in June before too long.

Based on how Microsoft typically reveals the games coming to the service, the new Xbox Game Pass games for June 2022 will likely be revealed on June 1 or thereabouts. But before Microsoft pulls the curtain back on all the new games coming to Xbox Game Pass in June, seven games will be leaving the lineup, with Tuesday, May 31 being their last day of availability. Any Xbox Game Pass subscribers interested in keeping the following games should note that they're available at a 20% discount while they're still available on Game Pass.

May 31 is the last day that Xbox Game Pass subscribers can play EA Sports NHL 20 (available to Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscribers through its EA Play integration), Farming Simulator 19, Knockout City, Resident Evil 7, Spellforce 3: Soul Harvest, Superhot: Mind Control Delete, and Yes, Your Grace. Again, all of these games are currently available to buy at a 20% discount, but they will no longer be available to play through Xbox Game Pass come June.

While it may be disappointing for some that Xbox Game Pass is losing seven games, the good news is that some of these games have already basically been replaced. Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscribers have access to newer NHL games, including the latest game in the series, and so EA Sports NHL 20's departure probably won't sting all that much. Likewise, the new version of Farming Simulator is already on Game Pass, so it's unlikely that Farming Simulator 19 will be missed. And in the case of Knockout City, it's actually going free-to-play, so Xbox gamers will still have access to it without having to actually buy it.

Even so, there's no denying that Xbox Game Pass is losing some big games today, particularly in the case of Resident Evil 7. Resident Evil 7 is five years old at this point, but it remains one of the best horror games in years, so fans of the genre will be sad to see it go.
