Xbox Game Pass subscribers will soon lose access to four titles, as a new update will remove another batch of games on October 15. While services such as Xbox Game Pass and PlayStation Plus allow players to access a wide variety of titles by paying a monthly fee, games are often rotated in and out of the catalog, which can be disappointing to those who have yet to check out certain titles prior to their removal.

With the cost of video game development continuing to rise, it's becoming increasingly expensive to own AAA titles like the latest Call of Duty, the highly anticipated Grand Theft Auto 6, and many others. That's where services like Xbox Game Pass and PlayStation Plus step in, as they allow subscribers to access a wide variety of games in a constantly rotating catalog. This is all for a monthly fee, of course, which is about to become significantly more expensive for Xbox Game Pass subscribers. Microsoft recently announced some big price hikes to the service, which will see its most expensive tier hiked up by $10, making Xbox Game Pass Ultimate a total of $29.99 per month.

Silksong, Clair Obscur, Doom, and Minecraft are only a few of the great games on PC Game Pass.

The sudden price increase was massively disappointing news for subscribers, prompting many to even rush and cancel their Xbox Game Pass subscriptions. For those who are sticking with the service, more disappointing news is on the way, as four games will be removed from Xbox Game Pass on October 15. As spotted by Pure Xbox, Cocoon, Core Keeper, Donut County, and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutants Unleashed will all be taken off the service later this month. The good news, however, is that they will remain discounted by 20% up until their removal. So anybody who wants to continue playing any or all of these games after they are removed from the service will want to purchase them before October 15 to make the most of the sale.

Losing titles is always disappointing, but the good news is that there will be plenty more additions to Xbox Game Pass throughout the course of October. Numerous day-one releases will hit the service in the coming weeks, including Sopa – Tale of the Stolen Potato and Little Rocket Lab on October 7, followed by Ball x Pit on October 15, Keeper on October 17, and Ninja Gaiden 4 on October 21. Plenty of other big, day-one releases have also been confirmed for the rest of the year, including the highly anticipated Call of Duty: Black Ops 7, which will be available to Xbox Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass subscribers on November 14.

After the removal of three Ninja Gaiden games from Xbox Game Pass earlier this week, fans will be eager to get their hands on Ninja Gaiden 4 when it hits the service in a few weeks. Hopefully, fans were quick enough to complete Ninja Gaiden 3 before it left Game Pass this week, as the next installment in the series will be a direct sequel that takes place several years after the 2012 title. For those who aren't subscribed to Xbox Game Pass, Ninja Gaiden 4 will also be available on PlayStation 5 and PC.
