Xbox Game Pass Ultimate has added Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine - Master Crafted Edition to its library. This is the fourth new title to reach the subscription service in June 2025, as well as the 65th Xbox Game Pass release since the start of the year.
In late summer 2024, third-person action game Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 made waves by becoming both a critical and commercial hit, surpassing 6 million players in its first few months on the market. This turn of events reignited fan interest in its predecessor, whose remaster—subtitled Master Crafted Edition—was announced during the 2025 edition of Warhammer Skulls back in May.

Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine - Master Crafted Edition is officially out on the Xbox Series X/S and PC as of today, June 10. As previously promised, the modernized version of the 2011 title has also been added to the Xbox Game Pass Ultimate library on day one. This is the fourth title to reach Microsoft's subscription service since the turn of the month, after Crypt Custodian, Symphonia, and the two-pack containing the Enhanced Editions of BioWare's Baldur's Gate and its direct sequel.

The Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine remaster has yet to attract significant attention from critics. As of today, it has an average OpenCritic score of 76, although that figure is based on only four reviews. Compared to the 2011 original, the new version of Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine promises a modernized control scheme, UI refinements, and remastered audio. Visual enhancements are also part of the package, encompassing improved character models and textures, as well as 4K resolution support.
When Could Warhammer 40k: Space Marine Remaster Reach Game Pass Standard?
Being a day-one title, Warhammer 40,000 Space Marine - Master Crafted Edition is exclusively available via PC Game Pass and Xbox Game Pass Ultimate. Microsoft's track record suggests that the remaster could make its way to the XGP Standard library sometime between December 2025 and June 2026.
Looking ahead, nine more titles are already confirmed to be coming to Xbox Game Pass in June 2025. The first of these are Barbie Project Friendship and the PC version of Kingdom: Two Crowns, both of which are set to debut tomorrow, June 11. This duo will be followed by EA Sports FC 25 and The Alters on June 12 and 13, respectively. A rare triple release is then scheduled for the 17th, when Xbox Game Pass will receive FBC: Firebreak, Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time, and Lost in Random: The Eternal Die. June 17 is also the date when Microsoft is likely to officially announce the Xbox Game Pass Wave 2 lineup for this month. The roster is already known to include Rematch and the console version of Against the Storm, slated to debut on June 19 and 26, respectively.
