Summary
- The Division 2 joined Xbox Game Pass on May 27.
- Its arrival coincides with the release of its Battle for Brooklyn DLC, available for $14.99.
- Three more titles are coming to Xbox Game Pass before the end of the month, while eight have already been confirmed for June 2025.
Tom Clancy's The Division 2 has joined the Xbox Game Pass library, with its arrival coinciding with the release of its latest DLC pack. This is the 14th new title to land on Microsoft's subscription service in May 2025, as well as the 59th new Xbox Game Pass release since the turn of the year.
The Division 2 is a post-apocalyptic looter shooter developed by Ubisoft's Swedish subsidiary Massive Entertainment. It was released in March 2019 for PC and the last-generation Xbox and PlayStation consoles, debuting to a largely favorable reception, as highlighted by its "Strong" rating on OpenCritic, based on an average score of 83 and a 91% reviewer recommendation rate. The Division 2 went on to sell over 10 million units, becoming one of Ubisoft's best-selling games of all time. As a result of this success, Massive Entertainment revised its post-launch content roadmap and continues to support the game even today, despite originally planning to end all DLC development by late 2020.
The Xbox Game Pass Hot Streak is Getting Ridiculous at This Point
The Xbox Game Pass subscription service has been on a generational roll these last few months, and there really doesn't seem to be an end in sight.
The Division 2 joined Xbox Game Pass on May 27, debuting on the service for the first time ever. Since it's not a day-one release, the looter shooter can be played by subscribing to any non-Core membership tier. The Division 2 also comes with Xbox Cloud Gaming support, allowing Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscribers to stream it via supported devices.

This catalog expansion coincides with the release of The Division 2's Battle for Brooklyn DLC, which sets players up for a final confrontation with the Cleaners, one of the game’s main enemy factions. As is typical with Xbox Game Pass releases, Microsoft subscribers only have access to the base game through their membership. However, they can purchase this and other downloadable content separately without needing to own the game outright. Battle for Brooklyn is priced at $14.99 but is also available as part of the New York DLC Bundle, which normally retails for $39.99 and is currently 50% off on the Xbox/Microsoft Store until June 2. The bundle includes the Warlords of New York expansion, a level 40 boost, and quality-of-life upgrades such as increased stash space.
With May drawing to a close, Microsoft still has several Xbox Game Pass releases planned for the remainder of the month. The first is To A T, a narrative-driven puzzle adventure set to launch on May 28. Spray Paint Simulator and Metaphor: ReFantazio are scheduled to follow a day later.
Looking ahead, eight titles have already been confirmed to be coming to Xbox Game Pass in June 2025—an unusually high number of early announcements for the service. Next month's releases will kick off with Crypt Custodian and Symphonia on June 3, followed by Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine Master Crafted Edition exactly a week later. FBC: Firebreak and Lost in Random: The Eternal Die are then scheduled for the 17th, two days before Rematch follows suit. Finally, Against the Storm is slated to receive a console version on June 26, nearly four years after initially launching on PC Game Pass.
