Xbox Game Pass continues to offer an interesting variety of games and genres to subscribers, this time with the addition of Minami Lane, a cozy life sim inspired by Japanese small-town charm. Every month, Microsoft’s gaming service adds and removes titles to keep the selection fresh for Xbox Game Pass members, with multiple subscription tiers to choose from.

There have already been a number of exciting games added to Xbox Game Pass in July so far, with a little something to appeal to most gamers. The month kicked off with Little Nightmares 2, the sequel to 2017’s award-winning horror adventure game by Tarsier Studios. This was accompanied by Rise of the Tomb Raider and later joined by Legend of Mana, Trials of Mana, and most recently, Neon Giant’s cyberpunk RPG shooter The Ascent.

Beginning on July 9, Xbox Game Pass subscribers will gain access to Minami Lane, a bite-sized management sim that can be completed in just a few hours. Co-developed by Doot and Blibloop, the indie game was originally released in August 2024 on multiple platforms, and now Game Pass members can enjoy it at no additional cost.

The entirety of Minami Lane takes place on a cozy Japanese-inspired street with ramen shops, boba cafes, bookstores, flower boutiques, and of course villagers to interact with and befriend. After getting to know the diverse townsfolk, the player will be equipped with the knowledge needed to build the desired shops, stock them with attractive inventory, set prices, and draw in customers, thereby helping the small town to thrive.

But Xbox Game Pass subscribers still have more to look forward to in July. On the 11th, Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3+4, a remake of the original games released in 2001 and 2002, will be launching on the subscription service on day one. Squanch Games’ High on Life will be returning on July 15 after being removed from the service in mid-2024, and towards the end of the month, two day-one releases will be coming to Game Pass: Wuchang: Fallen Feathers and the early access version of Obsidian Entertainment’s Grounded 2.
