August has been yet another strong month for Xbox Game Pass. Assassin's Creed Mirage, Aliens: Fireteam Elite, 9 Kings, Void Breaker, Persona 4 Golden, and The Rogue Prince of Persia all hit Xbox Game Pass this August, and the month isn't over quite yet. Gears of War: Reloaded is hitting the subscription service in a few days' time, and Dragon Age: Veilguard is set to end Xbox Game Pass' month with a bang.
It's a tough act to follow, but the Xbox Game Pass September 2025 line-up is already set to overshadow everything that's come before it in the last few months, and it's all thanks to one game. After seven years of development, Hollow Knight: Silksong finally has a concrete release date of September 4. And true to Team Cherry's word from all those years ago, Hollow Knight: Silksong will be on Xbox Game Pass day one. Deep Rock Galactic: Survivor is also set to join Silksong on September 17, and while these two games already offer an incredibly strong line-up, Xbox Game Pass could use a few more titles to really seal the deal this September.
Xbox Game Pass September 2025 Wish List: LEGO Voyagers
Release Date: September 15
One of the stand-out reveals from Gamescom Opening Night Live 2025, LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight looks like another ambitious project from TT Games, one that's taking the best parts of Rocksteady's Batman: Arkham series and merging them with a ton of franchise references and Easter eggs to build the ultimate celebration of the Caped Crusader. But fans have to wait a little while before LEGO Batman's release.
In the meantime, the construction toy juggernaut is releasing LEGO Voyagers, a two-player co-op puzzle game set to launch on September 15. With LEGO Voyagers' co-op having both local and online functionality, it'd be the perfect day-one Xbox Game Pass addition this September.

Xbox Game Pass September 2025 Wish List: Borderlands Handsome Collection
One of the most anticipated games of 2025, Borderlands 4 is set to release on September 12. But before players gear up as the four new Vault Hunters, Xbox Game Pass should give them a Borderlands series crash course. Adding Borderlands: The Handsome Collection to Xbox Game Pass this September would give new fans the opportunity to jump into Borderlands 2 and Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel, along with all of their accompanying DLCs.
Borderlands 3 is currently available on Xbox Game Pass, but it's set to leave the service on August 31. Those wanting a refresher on Borderlands 3's story ahead of Borderlands 4's launch need to act fast.

Xbox Game Pass September 2025 Wish List: Dying Light
On a similar note, Dying Light: The Beast is set to launch on September 19. With Dying Light: The Beast's story revolving around the return of series protagonist Kyle Crane, it'd be great if fans were given a refresher of the hero's origin. The first Dying Light should come to Xbox Game Pass this September.

Xbox Game Pass September 2025 Wish List: Resident Evil Village
The ninth mainline installment in the long-running survival horror franchise, Resident Evil Requiem is one of the most anticipated games of 2026, especially after its recent showing at Gamescom ONL. With RE Requiem hype at an all-time high, it'd be the perfect time for Xbox Game Pass to add Resident Evil 7 and/or Resident Evil Village to the service. Though Resident Evil Requiem's story isn't likely to be connected directly to these entries, they still offer worthwhile experiences that all Resident Evil fans should experience at least once.
