Xbox Game Pass Adds Day-One Co-Op Survival Game

Xbox Game Pass has added Voidtrain to its steadily growing content catalog. The day-one co-op survival game marks the sixth new title to reach the subscription service in November, as well as the 195th Xbox Game Pass release of 2025.

The latest title from Police Stories: The Academy developer HypeTrain Digital, Voidtrain is a first-person survival crafting game with base-building, a sci-fi setting, and co-op multiplayer for up to four players (though it's also playable solo). It's been in PC early access since August 2021.

Voidtrain Joins 3 Xbox Game Pass Tiers Fresh Out of Early Access

Voidtrain made its way to Xbox Game Pass on November 7, the day it formally left early access. In the past, Microsoft commonly treated 1.0 releases as day-one titles, meaning they would be restricted to the PC and Ultimate tiers of its subscription service at launch. Voidtrain deviates from this pattern and is already available on Xbox Game Pass Premium alongside XGP Ultimate and PC Game Pass.

Voidtrain's immediate availability on the middle tier of the service is particularly surprising in light of the fact that its Game Pass debut coincides with its console release. In other words, Microsoft had two separate reasons (1.0 launch, console port debut) to treat it as a day-one title and omit it from XGP Premium for at least six months. Not doing so strengthens the platform’s co-op survival lineup across more subscription tiers, though it's currently unclear whether this signals a broader policy shift. Regardless, it is not an isolated case: Pax Dei received similar treatment when it left early access and immediately joined three Xbox Game Pass tiers in mid-October.

Seven more titles are confirmed to be coming to Xbox Game Pass throughout the remainder of November 2025. They are headlined by Call of Duty: Black Ops 7, with other names from this batch including Winter Burrow, Pigeon Simulator, and Moonlighter 2: The Endless Vault. From the non-day-one games, Lara Croft and the Temple of Osiris and Great God Grove are both coming on November 11, with Relic Hunters Legend being set to follow a day later.

Voidtrain is the first title developed by HypeTrain Digital to arrive on Xbox Game Pass. The Cyprus-based company previously had another game on the service, but only as a publisher. That title, a survival game called Breathedge, joined Xbox Game Pass in September 2021—seven months after its original release—and remained available until December 2022.
