Xbox Game Pass Ultimate has added Keeper to its content catalog. The surreal-looking adventure is the 58th new title to reach the subscription service in October 2025, as well as the 180th Xbox Game Pass Ultimate release since the beginning of the year.
The latest project from Psychonauts developer and Microsoft subsidiary Double Fine Productions, Keeper was officially announced during the latest Xbox Games Showcase. The June 2025 event introduced it as a third-person adventure in a post-apocalyptic setting that tells a comforting tale of companionship with no words. It stars an unlikely duo of a pelican-like bird and a long-dormant lighthouse that mysteriously comes to life and grows legs.
Xbox Game Pass Ultimate Adds a Day-One Title, Plus a Festive Platformer
Xbox Game Pass Ultimate adds a day-one title whose demo garnered 'Overwhelmingly Positive' reviews earlier this year, plus one festive platformer.
Keeper Lands on PC Game Pass and Xbox Game Pass Ultimate
Keeper's surreal world and speculative biology can be experienced beginning today, October 17, with the trippy title now available on the Xbox Series X/S, PC, and Xbox Game Pass. As with other day-one launches, Double Fine's newest release is limited to the PC and Ultimate tiers of Microsoft's subscription service. Keeper can also be streamed via Xbox Cloud Gaming in countries where the cloud platform is available.
When Will Keeper Come to Xbox Game Pass Premium?
Microsoft restructured Xbox Game Pass tiers on October 1, replacing Core and Standard with Essential and Premium, respectively, among other changes. While the Premium membership doesn't include day-one releases, the company committed to bringing Xbox-published titles to its library within a year of launch. The promise indicates that Keeper will make its way to Xbox Game Pass Premium no later than October 2026, and—if the XGP Standard cadence is any indication—possibly as early as mid-2026.
Five more titles are presently confirmed to be coming to Xbox Game Pass before the end of October 2025. Ninja Gaiden 4 and Evil West are slated to arrive on October 21 and will be followed by PowerWash Simulator 2 and Bounty Star two days later. The Outer Worlds 2 is then scheduled to debut on October 29. The Wave 2 Xbox Game Pass lineup for this month is expected to be officially announced on or around October 21.
