Xbox Game Pass Adds 2 Day-One Games That Could Hardly Be…

Xbox Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass have added PowerWash Simulator 2 and Bounty Star to their content catalogs. The two day-one titles that could hardly be more different from each other mark the 61st and 62nd new additions to Xbox Game Pass in October 2025.

Developed by Mesa, Arizona-based DINOGOD, Bounty Star is a genre hybrid that combines third-person mech action with robust robot customization, base building, and even farming. Players assume the role of a veteran mech pilot who becomes a bounty hunter while simultaneously expanding her homestead. Conversely, PowerWash Simulator 2 is a title with a more self-explanatory name, and one that expands on FuturLab's 2022 hit in nearly every way. Still played from a first-person perspective, PWS2 promises an even greater variety of locations to visit, things to clean, and tools to clean them with, among other novelties.

Xbox Game Pass Adds Day-One AAA Game, Plus an Earlier-Than-Expected Title

A much-anticipated AAA title joins the Xbox Game Pass Ultimate catalog, together with a 2022 game that arrived earlier than expected.

PowerWash Simulator 2 and Bounty Star Join Xbox Game Pass 1 Hour Apart

While the two titles have little in common, they both launched as day-one Xbox Game Pass releases on October 23. Bounty Star debuted at 8am ET, whereas PowerWash Simulator 2 followed suit an hour later. They are the 183rd and 184th new additions to the service in 2025. Moonlighter 2: The Endless Vault was also supposed to launch on Xbox Game Pass today, but it ended up being pushed back to November 19.

Bounty Star and PowerWash Simulator 2 Coming to XGP Premium in 2026

Like any other day-one addition, Bounty Star and PowerWash Simulator 2 are only accessible via PC Game Pass and Xbox Game Pass Ultimate. Based on Microsoft's recent pledges, both are expected to reach the Premium tier of the service between April and October 2026. In the meantime, they can be played via an Xbox Series X/S, PC, or any device compatible with Xbox Cloud Gaming. The streaming service is currently available on every Xbox Game Pass tier except for PC.

Three more titles are confirmed to be coming to Xbox Game Pass during the remainder of October 2025. The incoming arrivals include an early access version of Super Fantasy Kingdom and Halls of Torment, scheduled to launch on October 24 and 28, respectively. Obsidian Entertainment's sci-fi ARPG The Outer Worlds 2 is then slated to drop on October 29.

Xbox Game Pass already has half a dozen confirmed releases for November 2025, including Call of Duty: Black Ops 7, Winter Burrow, and Football Manager 26. The full Wave 1 lineup for next month is expected to be announced on or around November 4.
