Xbox Game Pass subscribers can look forward to 13 more games joining the service's library from now until the end of September. Gamers who are subscribed to Xbox Game Pass are constantly treated to newly added titles every single month, which can be either older games or brand-new day-one releases. Last month was quite strong for the subscription service, as it added big titles like Assassin's Creed Mirage, Persona 4 Golden, BioWare's latest RPG in Dragon Age: The Veilguard, and Xbox's very own Gears of War: Reloaded remaster.
Following up a strong August, Game Pass' early September additions didn't disappoint either, as several high-profile indie titles joined the catalog. Stylish FPS I Am Your Beast kicked the month off on September 2, and highly celebrated action platformer, Nine Sols, one of 2024's best indies, made its appearance a day later. Perhaps the most highly anticipated indie game in recent memory, Hollow Knight: Silksong, also released day one on Xbox Game Pass the day after Nine Sols, making for a thrilling three days for indie game fans on Game Pass.
If Xbox Game Pass Wasn’t Already Having Its Best Year Yet, It Certainly is Now
2025 has been one of Xbox Game Pass' best years, and if that wasn't already obvious before, it certainly is after this month's additions.

Now, Xbox Game Pass has laid out its roadmap for the rest of September, which includes 13 additions to its library, some of which are day one releases. The biggest name on the list is 2023's Call of Duty entry, Modern Warfare 3. Both it and Modern Warfare 2 were recently decoupled from Call of Duty HQ, making it a lot easier for players to download and manage as its own separate title. The single-player follow-up to hit Game Pass co-op shooter Deep Rock Galactic: Survivor, is also coming to Game Pass tomorrow, September 17, the same day as Modern Warfare 3.
Perhaps the most interesting September Game Pass addition is the original Hades. Its sequel, Hades 2, has been in early access for well over a year now, and its 1.0 release was recently confirmed to be exclusive to Nintendo's Switch consoles when it drops on September 25. The original's appearance on Game Pass may suggest that the Xbox version of Hades 2 could be coming sooner rather than later, perhaps before the end of 2025. Nevertheless, while Xbox gamers will be missing out on Hades 2 this month, Game Pass still has a strong offering, with games like Square Enix's fantasy RPG Visions of Mana, Frostpunk 2, and two Game Preview titles like Overthrown and Endless Legend 2.
There's a lot to enjoy on Game Pass for the rest of this month, but October's lineup is set to be even bigger, with several Xbox first-party releases in the mix like Double Fine's Keeper and Obsidian's The Outer Worlds sequel. Plus, the Xbox-published Ninja Gaiden 4 is set to make its mark, and there will surely be even more Game Pass additions throughout October to supplement all these massive day one releases.
