In the case of the new Albion Online freebie, the perk was already announced as part of the Xbox Game Pass Wave 2 lineup for October 2025. It became available in the early morning hours (ET) earlier today, October 30. Officially called Exclusive Game Pass Reward Package, the bundle offers a new Green Knight vanity set and a variety of resources, including Fame points and Premium time. Its original announcement also teased more surprises, presumably consumables, a common feature of Albion Online reward packs of this kind.

Albion Online does not have a console version, meaning the new freebie can only be claimed by PC users. It's technically framed as an in-game benefit rather than an Ultimate perk, making it available across every tier of the service. Every Xbox Game Pass tier has included PC games since the October 1 restructuring, which replaced XGP Core with Essential, Standard with Premium, and raised prices across the board. It's presently unclear for how long the Green Knight vanity set and its accompanying Albion Online rewards will be up for grabs.

In related news, Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscribers have one more week to claim the Phantom Seas Poseidon Drop for Smite 2, which will remain available until next Wednesday, November 5.
