Xbox Game Pass Ultimate has added Deep Rock Galactic: Survivor to its content library. This is the sixth new title to join the service in September 2025 and the 114th new Xbox Game Pass Ultimate release since the start of the year.

Deep Rock Galactic: Survivor is an action roguelike in the vein of Vampire Survivors. Originally announced in November 2024, the Funday Games-developed title plays like a top-down auto-shooter, giving players control of a character that engages with enemies on their own. It was released for PC and consoles earlier today, September 17.

Deep Rock Galactic: Survivor Lands Reaches Xbox Game Pass Ultimate on Day One

As previously announced, Deep Rock Galactic: Survivor also made its way to Xbox Game Pass on day one. Like any other day-one title, the action roguelike requires a PC Game Pass or XGP Ultimate membership to access. While it's technically not available for the Xbox One, it can still be played on Microsoft's last-gen console via Xbox Cloud Gaming.

Much like Vampire Survivors, Deep Rock Galactic: Survivor's gameplay loop comes down to grinding experience and loot in order to get stronger and clear progressively more difficult challenges. The game also incorporates meta progression, with each run improving the odds of success. This creates a highly accessible experience where progress feels constant and every run carries weight. As such, Deep Rock Galactic: Survivor will potentially improve the selection of compelling roguelikes on Xbox Game Pass.

When Could Deep Rock Galactic: Survivor Come to Xbox Game Pass Standard?

Based on Microsoft's track record, Deep Rock Galactic: Survivor may reach the XGP Standard catalog between March and September 2026. In the meantime, Vampire Survivors, the game that codified the auto-shooter roguelike formula, is still available on Microsoft's subscription service, which it originally reached in May 2022, during its early access era. It's also playable with an XGP Standard membership.

Not counting the September 17 releases—which also include three additions to XGP Standard—there are currently 19 titles with confirmed Xbox Game Pass releases dates. That's the most the service has had in a while, signaling the start of an incredibly busy period of the year. Eight more titles are coming to Xbox Game Pass Ultimate before the end of September 2025, beginning with the console version of Frostpunk 2 and Wobbly Life tomorrow. Hades is then scheduled to drop on the 18th, followed by Endless Legend 2 and Sworn on the 22nd and 23rd, respectively. Meanwhile, Peppa Pig: World Adventures and Visions of Mana are slated for a September 25 debut, whereas Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light will arrive at the tail end of the month.
