A new Xbox Game Pass Ultimate Perk has kicked off that's perfect for fans of the Dexter TV series, as the perk allows users to watch the series with its included free subscription to Paramount+ for 3 months. While there are some caveats, Xbox Game Pass members and Dexter fans may want to check out this opportunity.
Dexter: Resurrection is premiering on Paramount+ with Showtime on July 11, serving as the follow-up to Dexter: New Blood, which aired from 2021-2022 and prequel Dexter: Original Sin. Set a few weeks after the finale of Dexter: New Blood, Dexter Morgan awakens in a hospital bed and continues his journey that got its start way back in 2006 with the original series.

Xbox Game Pass Ultimate in July comes with a Walmart+ subscription perk that lasts for 90 days. Walmart+ comes with its own perks, including a subscription to the Paramount+ Essential Plan. The Dexter series left Netflix on June 18, and is now available to stream on Paramount+. In short, Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscribers can enjoy the original Dexter series for 3 months, as well as all the other content available through the Paramount+ Essential program.
Xbox Game Pass Ultimate and Dexter Caveats
While this is a great offer for fans who want to catch up on Dexter or watch it for the first time before watching Dexter: Resurrection, there are some fine-print to be aware of. Getting Paramount+ through Xbox Game Pass Ultimate is only possible for those who don't have a current Walmart+ subscription and haven't signed up for its free trial in the past. Users will need to create a new Paramount+ account in order to take advantage of it. Those who have current subscriptions to Paramount+, according to Walmart's terms, will need to cancel it in order to take advantage of this offer.
Xbox Game Pass Ultimate users should also be aware that this offer does not include the Paramount+ Premium service, which is required to stream Dexter: Resurrection. However, users can upgrade from the included Paramount+ Essential to Paramount+ Premium once they've signed up for it through Walmart+.
Though some have voiced concerns regarding Xbox Game Pass, the platform is still quite popular and offers players a wide variety of games to check out at no additional fee. This extra perk is just icing on the cake, and subscribers shouldn't let the opportunity pass them by.
