As anticipation builds for the release of Indiana Jones and the Great Circle later this month, Xbox has unveiled a new custom console that deserves to be in a museum itself. The new gold Xbox Series X is inspired by Indiana Jones and the Great Circle and pays tribute to the legendary franchise in multiple ways, coming equipped with a custom controller and box. Of course, something so special comes with a twist, and the new Xbox console is being given out to one skilled puzzle solver who can take on a new challenge at one of Microsoft's Experience Centers.

While the Indiana Jones franchise continues to be popular, new life has been breathed into the series in recent years. Fans saw the continuation and presumed end of Henry Jones Jr.'s adventures last year in Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny, a film that capped off decades of action. The Indiana Jones franchise spawned numerous games, with 2024 marking Indy's return to the medium with Indiana Jones and the Great Circle. Developed by MachineGames and published by Bethesda, The Great Circle takes Indy and players on an all-new adventure as both friends and foes search for yet another lost artifact. However, fans now have the chance to get their hands on an artifact of their own thanks to Xbox's new sweepstakes.

Xbox invites fans to visit the Microsoft Experience Centers in London, Sydney, or New York to try their hand at solving a puzzle. Correctly solving the puzzle enters participants into a new sweepstakes for the chance to win the shiny new Indiana Jones-themed Xbox Series X console. The event starts on November 12 and lasts through January 6, 2025, giving explorers ample time as The Great Circle's release date approaches. For those who cannot make it to a Microsoft Experience Center, Xbox has confirmed there will be another way to win the console via Bethesda's social channels.

Xbox Unveils New Indiana Jones Console

The new console bears a stark resemblance to the fertility idol in the original Raiders of the Lost Ark. In addition to the console, a wireless Xbox controller is also included, which features bejeweled buttons encased in a rugged canvas exterior. "What better way to experience the game than with your newest discovery of this console and controller?" Asks Xbox. "Don’t forget to ask yourself as you investigate, decrypt, and untangle this puzzle: What would Indy do?"

The Great Circle marks the first Indiana Jones game to hit the market in some time and has drummed up quite a lot of excitement, both from fans of the franchise and those looking to get their next FPS fix. While the first-person setting may have thrown off some, Microsoft has promised The Great Circle will deliver classic Indy action as well as an exciting new story, complete with large action set pieces and plenty of treasure to collect. Indiana Jones and the Great Circle officially releases on December 9, 2024.
